,OMB says federal workers of Middle Eastern or North African descent don't have the 'same lived experience' as White people.
The Biden administration is proposing a change to the way it collects data on federal workers that would allow employees to identify themselves as of Middle Eastern or North African descent, instead of identifying themselves as "White."
The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) on Thursday announced a series of proposed changes to the race/ethnicity data that it has kept since 1977. The OMB said changes are warranted because people’s preferences relating to how they identify themselves have changed.
The OMB said in its proposal that there have been "large societal, political, economic, and demographic shifts in the United States throughout this period," citing the following examples: increasing racial and ethnic diversity; a growing number of people who identify as more than one race or ethnicity; and changing immigration and migration patterns.
One of those changes would affect current language that requires people to identify themselves as "White" if they have "origins in any of the original peoples of Europe, the Middle East, or North Africa." But the OMB’s proposed change said many are requesting a new category separate from White people of European descent.

Wow! Danny Thomas and millions of others would likely disagree. This is merely yet another DemocRAT initiative to divide the American people.
Who cares? Starve the beast. The rest will take care of itself. Kabish? Comprende? Wakaru?
democrats are extremely racist.
Wow. What’s next? Requiring a 23-and-Me DNA check to determine where your ancestors came from?
Well, since a lot of the people in that area owned slaves, that might be the linkage they’re looking for.. But then we have to include all the Spanish colonial countries like Cuba, Brazil, etc. And let’s not forget China making the Nikes and the iPhones.
Four legs good.....
I don’t have the same ‘lived experience’ as Joe or Hunter Biden but I’m put in the same category as them. Why is that?
I guess the Jews are once again not white. It seems like only yesterday that lefties decided that Jews are white. That’s important for sustaining the white supremacy narrative, since Askenazi Jews are at the top of the list for tested IQ, academic achievement, professional achievement in intellectually challenging fields, and average incomes.
Asians are now “white adjacent” for similar reasons.
Conservatives don’t care. It’s the lefties who are obsessed. But they can’t have one rule for Jews and a different rule for other people of semetic origins who want to kill the Jews.
They want them dependent on gov’t,just like black dems..You are now a VICTIM....You must hate whites, except the white dems ,of course....
- a person with three or four Jewish grandparents is to be deemed a Jew.
- A grandparent is considered Jewish if they belonged to the Jewish religious community.
- Mischlinge are neither German nor Jewish. These people may have one or two Jewish grandparents.
- All those deemed Jews, shall have their German citizenship stripped, and passports confiscated, whereby they will be issued new passports marked “Juden.”

Excellent comment. Thanks.
He is subscribing the Marxist-Racist tropes AGAINST anyone of “European” ancestry by carving out special, protected status (presumed discriminated against status) for all whites not of European ancestry - which is Biden’s reason for excluding them from “whites”.
How about race and ethic classification be removed from all federal data collections on EVERYONE, not just federal workers.
It’s only partly to divide people.
The other reason is so that the new Victims can get in on the affirmative action/grievance gravy train.
Can we peel back to when Southern Europeans, Jews, the Irish, etc., weren’t white either?
How about affirmative action for everyone?
It’s also so they have enough voters to support official governmental tribalism.
Wow. What’s next? Requiring a 23-and-Me DNA check to determine where your ancestors came from?
Ancestry.com is ready to do that, if and when asked to, by its members.
It’s racist to collect any data. Period.
What race are people from the Middle East? (I ask because I don know.). My work has put me into contact with a lot of people from all over the Middle East. Some of them have dark skin and hair and have distinctive facial features. (Think of the late King Faisal of Saudi Arabia.) Others have light skin and hair and are indistinguishable from Europeans. I know some who don’t consider themselves white, and others who do.
All racist, all the time.
