Bakmut encirclement is progressing in the north and especially in the south where Ivan-isky is being attacked.
If the rus capture ivanisky then artillery could hit Bakmut’s last remaining supply road!.

As rugged as the A-10 is, without air superiority and Air Defense suppression, it will be as vulnerable as the JU-87 Stuka was. And that aircraft also was a very capable ground attack platform.

"This tank is truly a ‘Heavy’ tank compared to all of the Russian series which would be medium tanks."

I was wondering, will these heavy tanks be able to cross any bridges in Ukraine? I doubt it. Their maneuver capability will be severely diminished and be quite vulnerable to anti tank fire. This is all political theater by the US and NATO. Problem with theater is how does this dangerous play end when the final curtain comes down?

Russia Scoffs at Biden’s Ukraine Tank Giveaway: They ‘Burn Just Like All the Others’

Darth Putin @DarthPutinKGB ·

In response to Leopards & Abrams, Russia will deploy our Amrata tank which will prevent any retreat as it can't move.

Well I guess that WWIII has now been cancelled as the Russians are totally unconcerned about the delivery of tanks to Ukraine. 😉

The main stream news previously reported that one of the reasons USA didn’t offer the M1A1 tanks to Ukraine was that the M1A1 tanks needed jet fuel and that these tanks require much more difficult maintenance than other tanks like the Leopard. I think this only gives political cover for other nations to give their Leopard tanks. I don’t really see these M1A1 tanks being used in offensive tactics until they make public the supply of jet fuel and the training to both operate the tanks (like telling the public Ukrainians were sent to the United States to learn about the M1A1s) and repair them.

So, are we sending the HETs to move them, the fast HEMMT-based tankers to refuel, the Hercules A3s to pull them out when the get mired, and the training to deal with the *very different* turbine-based powerpack?

I am certain that many experts understand the absurdity of this idea.

Yes it has Biden’s name all over it.

“swamps, etc.”

Back when they were developing them, several of my fellow loggers got to pull one of them pigs out of a peat bog buried in the snow up by L’Anse Mich.

Took them a full week and they were GD lucky the weather was cold.

They had to freeze a trail up to the GD thing first, and then use corduroy to support it after they pull it off the snow with three Cat skidders tied together.

If it would not have been cold, that son of a bitch would have sunk about a 100 feet under that bog in the loon shit muck.

M1A1 tanks needed jet fuel and that these tanks require much more difficult maintenance than other tanks like the Leopard.

M1 Abrams can run on diesel, and is simpler to maintain than the Leopard.

It also requires a minimum of maintenance; The M1’s turbine engine is more reliable, requires fewer parts, is lightweight, and allows for a wide range of fuels

I’m not convinced all thes tanks aer intended to piece out to Ukraines military -—— could be USNATO are simply building up military equipment in Poland and other nations around Russia for attacking Russia itself down the road.

Re#12. It takes 22 weeks to train an M1 tank crew. This includes computer simulator training and officer training. M1s were very lethal in Iraq because the Iraqs had Soviet equipment and used Soviet tactics. US armored brigades had a combined fighting forces of Bradley fighting vehicles, M113s, Apache helicopters, and A10 tank killers.

The only way to win in Ukraine is to employ the kill box method and take out the radars and SAMS first, then employ A10s to go after the armor with vigor. From what I’m reading, the Russian army is on the verge of collapse. Take out crimea and it’s game over.

“And Russia has air superiority”

It actually doesn’t. Its planes are shot down anytime they go past the Donbas.

The skies are open

“TKO goes to the side with better training, leadership, experience and motivation.”

That side definitely ain’t Russia, as the past 11 months of war have shown.

The Ukrainians have been training for months in Leopards, they have good military leadership, excellent logistics and are highly motivated to thrown out the Russian Nazi invaders from their lands.

Why should the USA declare war?

Putin just declared it a war in his new year’s speech.

And the Ukrainians have been defeating Putin’s army pretty well.

Putin is right. Tanks gotta’ keep moving. If they don’t, they are just targets. There’s an old saying: “A tank can take a town, but a tank can’t hold a town.”
