Report: Israel requests to buy 25 advanced F-15EX jets from the US.....

Israel’s Ministry of Defense sent an official request to the United States last week to buy 25 F-15EX fighter jets it approved ordering three years ago, according to the Breaking Defense news site.

The F-15EX jets can be loaded with numerous heavy-weapon systems, capable of hitting Iranian nuclear sites buried deep underground. The purchase of the jets was delayed because of the political uncertainty in Israel created by five general elections in less than four years.

Israel sees the acquisition as urgent, amid deepening defense ties between Iran and Russia and Israel's concern that Russia might supply Iran with the advanced S-400 anti-aircraft defense system.

Israel also needs the advanced jets to target Iranian proxy Hezbollah in Lebanon.

According to Boeing, which produces the fighter jet, the F-15EX “carries more weapons than any other fighter in its class, and can launch hypersonic weapons up to 22 feet long and weigh up to 7,000 pounds.”

And will Israel pay for them? Or are they also requesting more foreign aid money to “buy” them from us?

‘Cause when you buy jets, you buy jets all the way
From your first F-15 to your last shekel pay;
‘Cause when you buy jets, when the Muslims attack
You have akhi on call, the Likud have your back...

Israel requests that the U.S. gives them 25 advanced F-15EX aircraft.

Whenever Israel 'buys' any U.S. equipment, they do so with "store credit" military aid provided by the U.S. to Israel.

They’re done buying F35s to support the military industrial complex corruption and now they actually want something that will shoot down bogies and hit targets.

???

Do you mean ... less jets for Ukraine?

What do I care whether we waste money on Ukraine or Israel? Either way, both Zelensky and Netanyahu should learn to pick up a check.

Of the total $3.5 billion, $2.5 is paid using a bonds sold to the public from an offering with Citibank as the book runner. This is ultimately paid by Israeli taxpayers.

$1 billion is paid directly by the USA taxpayer to the American companies that make the planes.

A cheap investment in the security of the USA, with no American blood at risk.

To quote Ronald Reagan, we’re an “unsinkable aircraft carrier”.

Unlike Europe or the Ukraine, we don’t expect a free ride, but are damn happy to get help as the tip of your spear.

When it comes time for heavy lifting in the Mideast, American blood is always spilled (i.e., the Iraq War).

Israel is not "our" spear. As I'm sure you know, Israel takes orders from no one.

What Yo-Yo said is well known. But it’s wearisome to argue with someone who, as a debating tactic, insists on “proof” for every obvious statement.

Yes, the land most known for short arms and deep pockets. The “Golden Calf” Israeli’s complain that the Palestinians are welfare leaches, but they need to look in the mirror when it concerns aid from America.

srael is the largest cumulative recipient of U.S. foreign aid: until February 2022, the United States had provided Israel US$ 150 billion (non-inflation-adjusted) in bilateral assistance.[1] In 1999, the US government signed a Memorandum of Understanding through which it committed to providing Israel with at least US$ 2.67 in military aid annually, for the following ten years; in 2009, the annual amount was raised to US$3 billion; and in 2019, the amount was raised again, now standing at a minimum of US$3.8 billion that the US is committed to providing Israel each year.[1]

Prove that.

Israel–United States relations - United States aid

Currently, Israel receives $3 billion annually in US assistance through Foreign Military Financing (FMF).[135] Seventy-four percent of these funds must be spent on the acquisition of US defense equipment, services, and training.

I’ll back the Israeli’s any day of the week. I have friends I made years ago during an engineer exchange program who were also IDF Para’s. Some tough guys and the most generous folks I ever met.

"And will Israel pay for them? Or are they also requesting more foreign aid money to “buy” them from us?"

If giving Israel weapons saves us from having to spend American lives on their behalf, ... does it matter?
