Chicago — A man who has been arrested 32 times by Chicago police since 2014 robbed and then engaged in a “firefight” with a concealed carry holder on a Green Line train during the Friday afternoon rush hour, authorities said Sunday.
“It is a pure miracle by the grace of God that no one was killed, that no innocent bystander was killed,” Judge Maryam Ahmad remarked during the bail hearing for Darius Moss, 33.
“This is just ridiculous. Ridiculous,” Ahmad continued before ordering Moss to pay a $25,000 deposit toward bail to be released before trial.
Officials said a 25-year-old bank security guard was riding the train home shortly before 5 p.m. when Moss boarded his train car and started staring at him while smoking.
The men started arguing until Moss “upped a firearm” and announced a robbery, prosecutor Christopher Cromydas said. Holding the victim at gunpoint, Moss allegedly took the man’s keys, phone, credit card, and, notably, his concealed carry license.

Range time gentlemen
The article states four rounds were "jammed", so they may or may not have been fired.
Public trans one of the off limits areas for concealed carry in this filthy state.
Someone needs more range time.
It could have been much worse.
Thanks for posting. Be prepared.
LOLZ ... Can you recommend a good range that exists on a moving train? I'm not aware of any.
But his was getting his life turned around
“Acording to his public defender, he has two children and is pursuing a career as a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning technician.”
Well, he did get “ventilated”
Fetal Alcohol Syndrome? Maybe.
“The article states four rounds were “jammed”, so they may or may not have been fired.”
Let me guess, a Hi-Point pistol and steel cased ammo?
Dunno. But certainly CareerCriminalSyndrome.
As a trainer that caters to individual needs.
And if that type of training you need. I can easily design a program.
That would allow one to shoot from a non stable platform.
arrested 4 times per year, for 8 years...?
Now there’s a stupid...
Someone needs more range time.
You could go to the range everyday of the year and hit everything you are aiming at and still when the time comes to actually engage someone you miss.
Why? Simple, at the range you are not in danger.
Ask any infantryman just how well they did during their first fire fight and most (if honest) will admit not doing so well.
You are only going to do well once you get experience facing someone trying to kill you although it never gets easy killing someone (and the burden of doing so remains with you the rest of your life).
Bet someone is looking for a new gun today. Or maybe better quality ammo.
“A man who has been arrested 32 times by Chicago police “
Anyone know how many cop man hours this entails?

He may be okay if he was on his way to or from work. Having said that I’ve been on METRA precisely once in the last decade. I ignored that stupid rule.
