But, the way things are today, they have the event, things get violent, the public-law enforcement-courts blame the event organizer not the scum protesters.

Can’t remember the term used when conservative speakers on campuses are stopped “for their own good” and “for the safety of the students on campus.” Mob something.
Like April, 2016 at Berkeley and others for Ben Shapiro and Ann Coulter (not my endorsement, just noting it.)
Irony was a police car set on fire upside down, class and dorm buildings with windows broken, and mobs in the streets with signs “No Room For Hate On This Campus.” Funny.
