Will Putin send another 500,000 conscripts to Ukraine? Russia quietly drops rule exempting fathers of three from mobilisation

MPs have proposed law to give National Guard greater powers over mobilisation Comes as intelligence claims Russia has suffered 188,000 casualties in Ukraine

Western allies pledged billions of dollars worth of weapons for Kyiv last week

Russia has quietly dropped a rule exempting fathers of three of more children from mobilisation - amid fears Putin will send another 500,000 conscripts to Ukraine.

MPs are understood to have proposed a law that will give the country's National Guard greater powers to impose military draft orders.

A second proposal includes allowing property to be confiscated from individuals who flee abroad to avoid being drafted into the war effort.

It comes after thousands of desperate Russians began trying to escape the country in September after Putin announced a dramatic mobilisation of 300,000 reservists.

But Moscow's mayor's office is now said to be employing more staff to handle conscription, with some civil servants having had their holiday cancelled, The Telegraph reports.

Fears have also spread following rumours emerging on social media over talk of martial law in the country.

The Kremlin has denied any such plants to lift the exemption, but Putin hinted a second mobilisation may be near when he told workers at a military production factory in St Petersburg this week that they are exempt from a call-up.

Another wave of mobilisation could further prolong a war that the Kremlin initially expected only to last a matter of days.

For this highly discussed spring-offensive that they chat about....this new mobilization would have made sense, if they still had the tank/APC/artillery inventory that they had in April 2022.

With the current inventory, logistics limitations, and recon advice from NATO....it’s just a waste of manpower.

There’s no way that Vlad will lose a war of attrition. Ukraine will lose and NATO’s stockpile of heavy (and not so heavy) weapons will be down to zero.

Putin is just having a really hard time coming to grips with the fact that Russia is not a superpower anymore. He thinks Gorby gave up the store, but that if he just conquers Ukraine and subjugates the population, as Stalin did, he can bring back the glory days. It’s far too late, and it wasn’t Gorby’s fault, it was communism’s fault. Anyway, Russia is just a northerly third world country now, with a backwards culture and and an aging nuclear arsenal going for it.

Putin hasn’t even gotten around to sending conscripts to the Ukraine

He has sent 300,000 reservists.

Ukraine, on the other hand, it in its 13th draft wave and there are literally hundreds of videos of Ukrainian draft goon squads pulling 50 year old men out of pools and off the street to be sent to the front.

Russia can’t effectively do anything to counter the losses and the existing battlefield debacle.

Presently there is evidence that the armies lack leadership. The Russian officers are not present. Many units are at far from full strength.

The troops are becoming vodka drunks. Some of the vodka purchased from locals make them go blind

But the real problem is that as they live in their trenches or move about or attack or do anything, they are under constant observation by Ukranian drones. The Russian static troops are totally vulnerable to extremely accurate artillery or drones directly above precisely dropping grenades on several Russians in a group.

Dynamically on attack Russian soldiers as individuals are viewed in real time. the artillery is precisely targeted on the attacking soldiers viewed as individuals in real time. Their armor is actually seen and destroyed as it attempts to move forward

The mobilization of 500,000 is in effect target creation

I spent over 5 years in the military. USAF. I was a six year enlistee to avoid a 5 year felony stay in jail.
Honorable discharge, rank E-5, service connected disabled.
I’m pretty sure I know who my real enemy is.
These Russians are pretty stupid.

“Vlad cannot croak soon enough.”

A lot of you toothless, elderly yapping poodles don’t even understand the consequences of what you’re yapping about.

This is a US proxy war and it is going to lose decisively.

Without the giant invincible military you can’t have the reserve currency and without the reserve currency you can’t have the giant invincible military.

Without reserve currency/petro dollar US is toast.

The Blinken/Nuland administration should learn a lesson here, but it won’t.

Never pick on anyone your own size.

“This is a US proxy war and it is going to lose decisively”

How? The problem for Russia is they have no path to victory.

What will cause the Ukrainians to surrender? Even if Kiev falls, that would simply switch the war to an insurgency.

——Vlad cannot croak soon enough.——

I will argue that premise is invalid.

Vladimir Putin is the leader implementing Russian defense policies that are ingrained in all the leadership. The fact he is gone will not automatically solve the problem.

Mother Russia must be protected by a land buffer that will soak up initial land assault efforts from European enemies. That thought will not die with Vladimir Putin
