Europe must fight. The realisation has been slow in coming. Yet almost one year after Russia invaded Ukraine, most western governments finally understand Kyiv’s war for survival is their war, too. It’s a fight to the death for Ukraine, but also for European democracy, rights and values. It’s a fight against the historical evils of fascism and imperialism embodied by Vladimir Putin, a dictator for our age.
Europe must fight. It really has no choice. As Russia doubles down, threatening a huge new offensive, a turning point approaches when tragedy turns to ruin – or triumph. This moment, when the war has become familiar and wearying, is the moment of maximum danger. From Sweden, Spain, the Netherlands, France, Poland and the Baltic republics, the flow of arms is turning into an urgent torrent.

I can assure you that none of the sons or daughters of the editors of The Guardian will be fighting in any war; they will be safely ensconced behind the battlelines along with the progeny of warmongering US neocons. To talk of war with a nuclear-armed country such as Russia is remarkably wanton, stupid and dangerous.
Stop all aid to Ukraine, it is a bottomless pit of resource draining…let Putin have Ukraine…Ukraine is a totally corrupt deep state soros wef proxy state…
Those sitting safely on the sidelines handing out weapons urging Ukraine to fight, for whatever reason, look like cowards.
A lot of US proxy Ukrainians are going to be killed for nothing.

its why when he shows up in DC the entire UniParty fawns at his feet and gives him a signed blank check...and all the European ministers endorse his every breath. Its why DC had a collective heart attack over Trump’s phone call to him.
Putin knows it...and himself may have some of the hard copy as well and has used it to drive a huge wedge between Europe and the USA

It seems as though many only give surface level thought to the issue.
Almost every argument here is now binary in scope.
I think the internet and 24 hour news cycle has made a bunch of impulsive and binary thinking fools.
“Fighting for all of us” seems a lot like “our democracy”.
This is all Deep State. Ukraine are globalists and I do not support them at all. Russia isn’t good, but Russia is just being Russia. It is a self-interested nation state. Such a thing is not new. But Ukraine is a key player on the road to world government and mass slavery. They need to lose.

I’m no fan of the Grauniad (nickname earned by its frequency of spelling mistakes) and it misunderstood the problem.
As do the anti WEF crowd.
The truth is “it takes two to tango”. Putin’s stated ambitions to replace the post-WW2 and post Soviet order with a Slavic one imposed by force is as much a part of the Great Reset as the broad cultural imperialism of the West.
The idea we can frustrate the Great Reset simply by letting Russia and China impose their visions on eastern Europe by force, and overturn western influences in Latin America is for the birds. What Russia is doing in Ukraine is every bit as destabilising as the post 9/11 adventures against Islamism.

Whatta load of horse poo. Not many want to die over Ukraine and for the tyranny of the NWO. If they did, they would be volunteering their lives to fight there. Instead there are people in the EU marching in the streets against what is happening and our media is not reporting it.
People are exiting that messed up rathole, not wanting to fight for it.
The west/WEF imposing global tyranny are snookering people into thinking they actually believe in freedom.
They don’t and they have told you and shown you in many ways that they don’t and many don’t want to hear it.
