According to Der Spiegel, during a secret meeting held this week in the Bundestag, the foreign intelligence service informed security politicians that Ukraine is losing a “three-digit number of soldiers” daily. The report doesn't specify how the losses are counted and do they include wounded and captured.
These losses are suffered in Bakhmut, a strategically important city in Donetsk Oblast, Spiegel reports.
The German Federal Intelligence Service warned that if Russians took Bakhmut, there would be severe consequences as it would give Russia the ability to advance.
On Jan. 16, British intelligence noted that Ukraine’s two main supply routes into Bakhmut are under increasing pressure.

This has become a high intensity conventional war so the reported numbers are easily in the ballpark.

Only thing they are not sending is Men and Women to die and bleed—at least—Not Yet. Russia knows its a meat grinder but will send troops as long as it takes. There will come a point when Ukraine will reach the conclusion that its a losing game and will fold up, dump Zelensky and go to the peace table. Talk of Ukraine Victory and pushing Russia out is just a pipe dream. The reality is just starting to reach the public mind. All the money we are sending is falling into a Black Hole of corruption. Bakhmut is now Operationally Encircled, so its liberation is near. Seems like things have sped up now that Soledar is no longer controlled by foreign forces.
And all that equipment is burning. Biden has just ensured another of his foreign policy disasters, right up there with the evacuation of Afghanistan. Only a Low IQ dolt would have fallen in behind this Demented fool. Congratulations.
Oh come on! Everybody knows that Ruzzia is losing, Putin is dying and Zelensky is the most honest and trustworthy world leader. He is also the best at getting military assistance from other countries especially America where we have his six to the point that we are more worried about Ukraine’s borders than our own.
Yes, it's the same tactic they used up North in Soledar. So after years of entrenchment (since 2014), UN leadership has allowed two critical cities to be encircled. They knew the Russians would come here from the first day of the war, and couldn't stop them.
