The idea isn't new that a group of armed radicals would gather and demand money from other people.

In New York City, and other crime-ridden locales, it's called a gang.

Or a criminal conspiracy.

Or organized crime.

Now, however, it's called a "rally."

That's according to a report in the Post Millennial, which reported many groups affiliated with the nationwide Black Lives Matter agenda, "held an armed rally in Richmond, Virginia, demanding reparations for descendants of former slaves."

"Video showed BLM757, BLMRVA, and the Fred Hampton Gun Club participating in the rally on Monday, armed with rifles in the gun-free zone of the State Capitol," the report explained.

"Reparations" has become a politically correct agenda item for cities and states in America, with some extremist plans insisting on giving up to $5 million each to certain minority members of the community. This is to even out the apparent inequities of what happened to other people in history.

The report said the groups armed themselves, and met, "demanding reparations for descendants of former slaves."

Police on duty in Richmond did not enforce the ordinary gun-free zone area around the Capitol.

"However, the group complied when police told the armed activists to move back toward a sidewalk because they did not have a protest permit," the report explained.

The report cited independent journalist Ford Fischer who said the armed organization was lobbying for reparations, as well as a congressional plan to study making payments to only some Americans.

Reminds me the violent riots in American cities in 2020, which the likes of CNN called "mostly peaceful" - while the Jan. 6th "insurrection" (which WAS mostly peaceful) is called a "violent intrusion into the capital" and the "greatest threat ever to democracy."

The problem is the lefty media and how it slants and spins these events to the American public.

FWIW, I'm wary of the intent behind this article.

Is it really to point out the "rules for me, not for thee" mindset of leftists?

Or is it a little more subversive? Is WND in reality adopting a statist mentality that Guns are Bad in the Hands of Those People Over There?

A recent post about "Big Con" elevated the deals and side deals in the media. That's nothing new. And we are economic free agents.

But it has astounded me, that Gateway Pundit, American Thinker, and other trashy "conservative new media" toilets have such a massive following. These dumps get more things wrong than right, have sensational but (and I'm being nice) misleading headlines...and yet their content is happily posted on FR.

WND isn't as awful as those dumps, but they're in the lowest decile.

Are they really on Our Side?

If I didn't know better, I'd think pieces like this one are part of a plan to conquer and divide Deplorables. Yes, antifa et al will likely hate me, but if enough pieces like this get published that blur the lines on gun rights, the possibility that WND, GP etc are in bed with The Enemy is heightened.

I don’t believe in “reparations” but I do believe in restitution.

Restitution is restoring to the rightful owner what has been lost or taken away. Reparation is restoring to its original condition something that has been damaged.

Quite frankly, BLM and similar activists don’t REALLY want reparation.

Less than 25% of whites ever owned slaves in America when it was legal. The average “black” American is about 25% white. I think it is a reasonable assumption that a greater percentage of “black” Americans are descendants of slave-owning whites than “white” Americans are on average.

And what compensation will be paid to the descendants of white abolitionists and those who fought to free slaves?

More importantly, who is going to make restitution for the trillions of dollars of loss and damage done to this nation by Democrats?

A large percentage of the descendants of slaves/slave-owners (i.e. blacks) are responsible for that.

Interesting thing is how the amount of reparations is steadily increasing, the more this is discussed. In California the demand is now $5,000,000 per person and cancelation of all debt as well as an annual stipend.

But for all of the noise, ‘reparations’ are not going to be paid. Thirteen percent is still just 13% which leaves...(borrow from the 0 and the other 0 and the 1)...87% who are not going to pay for it. While blacks may appear to be a near majority on TV and magazine ads, they are still a relatively small minority and don’t have the political muscle to pull this scam off.

Does anyone think that other minorities like Hispanics (despite being ‘POCs’) have no great love or respect for blacks, are going to happily pay taxes for such a program?

All you need is a Democratic majority, there never seems to be any dissent when something needs to be passed. It can also happen if other aggrieved groups get the promise of a payday in the future. Democrats are floating the idea of the elimination of fossil fuels which at one time seemed ridiculous.
