Canadian researchers analyzed coffee's "contribution to climate change" in a piece published in early January and suggested people moderate their consumption of the popular drink as a part of the solution.
Researchers Luciano Rodrigues Viana, Charles Marty, Jean-François Boucher and Pierre-Luc Dessureault wrote in an analysis published in The Conversation that pollution from preparing coffee was "just the tip of the iceberg."
"Limiting your contribution to climate change requires an adapted diet, and coffee is no exception. Choosing a mode of coffee preparation that emits less GHGs (greenhouse gases) and moderating your consumption are part of the solution," the researchers at the University of Quebec at Chicoutimi wrote.
The study also found that using coffee pods to brew coffee contributed less to the carbon footprint than brewing coffee with a traditional filter.

I for one like the LED lights. I like being able to keep on dozens of lights at all times and using the same wattage of 1 100 watt bulb.
Now have them do one on cocaine production.

“I have cereal with WHOLE MILK for a snack about 10 PM.”
Didn’t you remember milk is racist?
“5 things: Groups charge USDA with “dietary racism” over school milk policy”
And it causes global warming?
“Cow’s milk has significantly higher impacts than the plant-based alternatives across all metrics. It causes around three times as much greenhouse gas emissions”
Sounds good - whaddya got against crust?
Global Warming PING and shout-out to various Canadian FReepers.
DON’T MESS WITH MY Kona Hawaiian COFFEE!
That's why they roll up their windows and keep going when they pass by earth.

Well I will admit to being a total pod girl but I ran out of pods so today I’m back to the filter brew.
They want Juan Valdez to be unemployed so that he will be incentivized to join the refugee flood to the U.S., where he will be issued a full range of welfare benefits and become a baseline democrat voter.
Anyone can publish a “study” today.
You have to tear apart the data and the value assumptions the “analysts” used in evaluating the data. Accepting any “study” without question today is like using ABC/CBS/CNN/MSNBC/NBC/NPR as sole source of your “news”.
My brunch....it takes 10 minutes...on the stove...and the cheese gives me a shot of protein.

This stuff just cracks me up. I would GLADLY put my simple ‘lifestyle’ up against ANY ‘expert’ out there. Let’s calculate who contributes more to Mother Earth’s SUPPOSED demise; Them or Me. ROFLMAO!
Go plant a tree. Grow and can your own food and raise or hunt or fish for meat which GREATLY reduces time & energy spent on shipping it to you. Drive your vehicle ONCE every few weeks. Compost, reduce, reuse and recycle anything that doesn’t move.
Whatever, Losers.
What a bunch of dummies.
According to this logic, the only things we should consume for food & drink are what qualify as the lowest CO2 producing items. So only water and corn for everyone!
Welcome to the Republic of Communist America comrade!
The climate change hoax is leading to complete insanity.
I’d like to see the menu for the WEF meeting in Davos. I am certain crickets and ersatz coffee were not on the menu and the food was prepared on gas stoves. Al Gore foams at the mouth about the boiling oceans yet flew on a private jet, rode in an SUV limo and lives in a seaside mansion. Do they think we don’t see the hypocrisy?
“Juan Valdez will be unemployed if people stop drinking coffee.”
At 4:30 a.m. every morning, Juan Valdez is a Patron Saint in my religion. So is his donkey.
Take away my coffee, and we are going to war.
