All three contestants on "Celebrity Jeopardy!" failed to solve a very simple clue about a midwestern state referenced in a popular movie classic, and the interaction went viral on social media.
The video showed contestant Torrey DeVitto, a TV actress and model, pick the category "The Fifty States" for $300.
"In 'Field of Dreams' a question is asked, 'Is this heaven?' - No, it's this midwestern state also known as 'the corn state,'" read host Mayim Bialik.
DeVitto guessed Wisconsin and was shot down.
Candace Parker, a WNBA player, offered Nebraska, which was also wrong.
Comedian Patton Oswalt, a third contestant who is considerably older than the other two, also bizarrely had no idea, but wisely kept silent until the beep.
The answer?
DUH!
Here's the video of the clue that was circulated on social media:

I started to lose interest in Jeopardy! years ago, when it became more about catching hints from the questions than about actual knowledge. Since Alex Trebek died, I just don’t bother watching.
And if you’re a regular viewer of Jeopardy, you know how much they dumb down the questions for “celebrities.” The SNL videos with Will Farrell as Alex isn’t far off.
You mean like the Kamala state ... I duh hoe?
I was in the studio audience for two episodes of “Washington Power Players” celebrity Jeopardy. I observed:
Alex seemed like a genuinely decent fellow.
The questions seemed easier than usual, but the “power players” got fewer of them right than usual. They also left more questions on the board than normal Jeopardy contestants.
Chris Matthews is ignorant, arrogant, and stupid.
A toady, figuratively and literally.
I watched the entire program. The women were just eye candy. O salt was fairly sharp and racked up the money. Yes the questions are easier on CJ.
We’d be shocked at the answers to “This War Between the States was fought in which century?”
Or “The New York Yankees play in which city?”
Iowa is officially the “Hawkeye State”.
Nebraska officially really is the “Cornhusker State”.
Jeopardy was wrong, the contestant was correct.
These are some of the smarmy jack-wagons that look down their noses at the rest of us.
What a collection of morons.
Me too.
I’ll take nursery rhymes for $5, please.

Can’t stand Mayim Bialik
Really?
It is Nebraska Cornhuskers. Iowa Hawkeyes.
I knew it was Iowa. But aren’t Nebraskans known as “The Cornhuskers?” If you have to guess, Nebraska is at least understandable.
“Famous Big Ten team The Iowa Corn-huskers.”
I remember when they were a good team; about the same time as that other powerhouse, the Nebraska Hawkeyes.
The show has been dumbed down for along time already. Gotta make the illiterate dummies feel smart too.
