Expanded US training for Ukraine forces begins in Germany

The U.S. military’s new, expanded combat training of Ukrainian forces began in Germany on Sunday, with a goal of getting a battalion of about 500 troops back on the battlefield to fight the Russians in the next five to eight weeks, said Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Milley, who plans to visit the Grafenwoehr training area on Monday to get a first-hand look at the program, said the troops being trained left Ukraine a few days ago. In Germany is a full set of weapons and equipment for them to use.

Until now the Pentagon had declined to say exactly when the training would start.

The so-called combined arms training is aimed at honing the skills of the Ukrainian forces so they will be better prepared to launch an offensive or counter any surge in Russian attacks. They will learn how to better move and coordinate their company- and battalion-size units in battle, using combined artillery, armor and ground forces.

It is, primarily a tank training ground. We ‘inherited’ it from the Germans after WWII who used it for similar purposes.

A good place to train maneuver units, though the weather is usually crap (like Hoenfels)...wet and COLD!

I never got to see tanks in training there. It was still being rebuilt when I left. I spent 2 years on that project. I never did a winter there. I was based out of Baumholder.

A well equipped and led battalion is all that is needed to overcome the miniscule resistance of ill fed, poorly armed, poorly led and destitute of morale Russian troops

Meh...a battalion of British trained Ukies surrendered at Soledar.

I’ve spent some time at Baumholder...pretty miserable winters there on the ‘rock’ too.

Regards,

Baumholder is very much like were I live. To me, it was normal weather with a little less snow and more rain in the winter.

I also could say when going to town I had to walk up hill both ways.

Your ignorance is profound. The war is not about American politics or Joe Biden.

hmmm... which part do you want to disprove?

And why do you disagree? Do you think Iraq did NOT have legitimate claims against Kuwait and Saudia? Or that it did justify the invasion? Or that Iraq did not want to make Kuwait its province?

Which statement do you disagree with, and why?

That no proof was provided or that you think it is ok to invade and kill to collect on debts?

Just as you wrote "Expanded Training for Globalist Mercenaries Using Ukraine to Rob and Loot Russian Assets"

Do you think that Kuwait was an “Iraqi asset”?

“Ukrainians surrendered at Soledar”

Not even Russian sites claim that - leave alone provide any proof.

I placed my cursor (arrow) on the little bluish square at #9, click, and nothing happens. I have never had success seeing these. What am I doing wrong?

When I clicked Post Reply at #9, suddenly this very scary graphic appeared. It shows nuclear exchanges with smaller dots in much of Europe, and very big ones in Russia and the US. Many of the big ones in “fly over” country. End result lots of radioactive fallout. Bad for Reps and Dems both, and winds over China deadly too. Six vessels in Russian Arctic Ocean sending nukes to us, no vessels shown in ocean sending nukes to Russia. Absence of our subs responding is unlikely. This number of nukes would destroy most of humanity from radioactivity.

My mistake, there were blue marked vessels in Atlantic and Pacific. Their nukes hit Russia before most Russian nukes hit us. The Russian nukes from high arctic vessels hit central US first, followed a little later by those from Russian land bases landing around the rest of the US.
