Eight people were shot at a crowded Martin Luther King Jr. Day event in Fort Pierce, Florida, authorities said Monday night.
All eight adult victims were brought to a hospital, including one person who is in critical condition, St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Brian Hester said.
At least four others were injured in the melee that followed the shooting....

I think they merged Birthington’s Wash Day with the same for Lincoln [or was it Ford?] to get to celebrate 0bama’s Presidency, or something.
Some January Mondays do have good conditions though. Good enough to enjoy and celebrate.

Nothing says Martin Luther King Jr. Day when there is a shooting which happens anywhere there is a Martin Luther King Jr. street.

Same here. I’ve been retired for 10 years, since I was 58.
Nobody shuts down or gets off from work here unless they work for a company that has government contracts or is black owned. My former employer had government contracts and had to observe it.
We consider it a fake holiday here that was created to make a certain group happy and nothing more.
I see lots of critical thinking going on around here these days maybe we need a content Mod to filter out satire?
