There were several different writers this season, so that may explain why the characters didn’t seem themselves. There are usually some catch phrases that are in every episode that each character uses, and they haven’t been evident this season. Like whoever did the writing wasn’t familiar with them, because they hadn’t watched any of the previous seasons.

I kept waiting for them to be said and was disappointed that they weren’t but figured the characters needed certain situations. Nope. It was the writing at fault.

I have one episode left, and will watch it tomorrow. I could watch it tonight but what would I have to look forward to?

I thought the scene where Commissioner Patterson told Marlon that Marlon had “lost his trust” by sitting the Sergeant exam and not doing very well was out of character. It would have been more like him to say something like, “Did you learn anything?”

Marlon got overconfident, realized he wasn’t ready (based on the results), and no harm done. I could see it being a bigger deal if he’d made an error in judgment that got someone hurt or worse, but not over just taking a test and doing poorly.
