I actually pretty much agree with that although Putin would have needed a LOT of help from the Ukrainians, due to the meager manpower...obviously that didn’t happen, not in that part of Ukraine.

Putin evidently believed he would get support from ordinary Ukrainians. I think that the reasons he believed this was due to:

• The way Ukrainian citizens in Crimea turned over in 2014 of course this was because the area was far more pro-Russian (44%) than even the Donbas (23% to 27%)
  
  
• , in 2014 joining Russia was a "fresh idea" and Ukraine was a failing idea. That changed in the 8 years
  
  
• Putin's invasion in 2014 strengthened the idea of Ukraine by giving a common "enemy" - just as the English conquest "created" Ireland and the British conquest "created" India etc.
  
  
• Russia is corrupt (as Ukraine was/is -- I argue that it was improving while Russia wasn't, however you may have a different opinion) - this meant that the truth on the ground was distorted
  
  
• Russians have lived for centuries in the concept of maskirova or Potemkim villages - so the upper echelons have no idea of the ground realities
  
  
• A dictator ends up being surrounded by yes-men, as Putin was/is

I really think that if Putin had stuck to his SALAMI tactics of slicing off parts of Ukraine at a time, he would have got away with it.

Eisenhower, Stalin, JFK, and other high ranking military people all are recorded as disbelieving the Hitler killed himself. Modern historians have accepted the accounts of Hitler's loyalists, who are exactly the people who would have lied to cover his escape. Much supports that Hitler escaped to South America, photos, eye witness accounts, etc., along with the fact that Hitler named an admiral to succeed him.

The last documentary I saw on the part of a skull in the hands of the Russians was that it was from a female. Blood samples were also taken from the fabric which was supposed to have been from the sofa that Hitler committed suicide on. The blood sample was male.

Several articles...one from The Smithsonian regarding the jawbone and teeth, says they are definitely Hitler's:

Another article says he was descended from Jews and Africans:

So they killed his body double. Without comparing the DNA to Hitler's known relatives, it proves nothing more.

Ditto. No DNA comparison to Hitler's known relatives, who weren't hard to find since he had an illegitimate son in France and a nephew in the U.S. navy. Without DNA the dentist's X-rays are just so much disinformation from a loyalist to fool those in the world who wanted to believe he died.

Right they have the DNA but didn't test if it matched the teeth and blood on the couch, but did test for ethnicity. Strange, no?

Which does nothing to prove that she died in the bunker, although if the stories of Adolph and Eva having two girls in Argentine are true, there is DNA to compare for them.

Well, if he did manage to escape from the bunker, he's certainly dead now. None of Eva Braun's collateral ancestors will agree to provide DNA to be tested to compare it to her hair, and as far as I know, neither will any of Hitler's relatives agree to provide DNA samples, even the ones living here. Like Lincoln's and JFk's assassination, it will just be something that will never be completely verified. Never heard of an illegitimate son in France, or there being two daughters in Argentina. One would think that Mossad would have jumped on any inkling of that.

Our government used a lot of Nazi war criminals as agents to procure intelligence on the Russians. I could see our government hiding Hitler someplace. On the other hand, I don't know how long Hitler would have lived, even if he had escaped. At the end, he was getting about 21 injections a day just to keep him going.
