i’ll re-rate McGope when i see how he ‘handles’ the debt ceiling increase.
I’ll wait 6 months or so to see how much pre-election promise has wound up the memory hole...
That also includes the degree to which he holds to the compromises he agreed to in order to get his testicles out of the vice...
My bet is that he starts out as McArthur (spelled wrong I know), BUT ENDS UP McBoehner.
I give him an A. I wasn’t expecting him to be so strong. Pleasantly surprised.
It was a decent press conference and he didn’t shy away from the questions.
Congressman Steve Stivers from Ohio was fantastic. We had a huge issue in closing a home in his district. We purchased a bank owned home in 2009 and scheduled fo close. Several days before we were advised that Obama’s bank takeover involved this home, which was suddenly owned by the government, it would take up to six months to get it resolved. Stivers dug in and we were able to close on time. Prior, his office always responded to any communication, one time even taking my call, personally.
We now live in Nancy Maces district in SC, she never returns correspondence, not even with a form letter. No one is ever in her district office. I have experienced this as well as many other constituents I have spoken with, she is abysmal, which is why I did not vote for her and never will.

SO far he is doing good, but the real test is coming with the debt
What I’ve seen looks pretty good.
Do we rate in comparison to Pelosi’s stammering ramblings?
McCarthy bragged a lot about the House’s accomplishments so far. But he completely left out that most, if not all, are DOA when they get to the Senate.
IMHO, his handling of the debt limit will show his true colors.
This is a bitter pill for the Surrender Monkey Caucus.
They know they saw exactly what they didn’t want to see but screeching is what they do - so silence or screeching?
It’s tough being a Surrender Monkey these days.
