Old people are so cute when they forget things.

Remember how the boomers were drugged out hippies, and GenXers were flannel wearing depressives? Well, surprise....we grew up and elected Trump.

But THIS generation, the old people say, THEY will be our downfall. The fogeys KNOW because after they rail from behind their keyboards about media bias, they lap up the MSM propaganda, erm, reporting from the left coasts, about what the GenZers and Millenials want.

Here's a novel idea. Talk to ACTUAL people under 35. I do, and the majority of these "kids" are hard working (some have 2-3 jobs), focused on their careers, and don't listen to NPR (they actually listen to podcasts). Yes, some of them are pod-eating snowflakes but they tend to live in NYC or LA...where the MSM lives and from which they try to lie to you. These losers are the ones the MSM presents as the "average" youth in the news - done to reinforce your despair, by design, because without hope you descend quickly.

For such a group of smart people, lots of folks on this thread have really fallen for this trick.

The younger generation is more libertarian then the fogeys, but that doesn't mean they're for the destruction of life, liberty or property. They also were raised by a lot of selfish divorced parents, and can be forgiven if they start a family later. If anything, the Deplorable youths are more conservative than their parents, and THAT is a good thing. But you won't see that in the press...the same press their affinity-biased parents detest.

Don't be fooled by the MSM or college professors. It makes you age faster.

Agreed, that and some others

I think about 15% of this generation may turn out to be absolutely exceptional people and will own the world if they want to

The only citizens that FR adores and venerates on a consistent basis are farmers and small business owners. Evryone else is a union loving W-2 wage slave loser.

Yes I agree. I’m in rural Tennessee, having fled from California a few years ago. In both church and in the community I’ve around young people who are very polite, Many take weekend jobs if they are too young to have a “normal” after school job. They hunt, they respect their parents, it’s literally like going back in time.

...who never use credit cards, haven’t had a TV since 1979, haven’t watched a football game ever, and pontificates when a gun owner critically wounds a bad guy that the shooter “should have had more range time.”

Young women in their 20s are generally more successful in the workforce I have read than young men. This is consistent with the war on boys that has been documented in the public school system. Despite anything women might say, facts are facts: They want a husband who is equal to or superior to them in earning power. Therefore, the more successful women get in the workforce there are fewer men that are able to be “husband material” in the eyes of these women.

Yes.

To expand on that a little -- young women can start off with nice careers. And this does work against their chances of finding a mate. So society then runs the risk of having a lot of unmarried women age 30 and up (we are here). And women at that age have a high tendency of deciding "I don't want this stupid career. I want a husband and a family". But by then it is largely too late. Meanwhile, young men are screwed over in schooling and (often) in the workplace. And the young women aren't interested in most of the young men. So society then runs the risk of having a lot of unmarried men age 30 and up and realize that:

1) They are in their prime earning years and they have an income that they don't need to share with anyone
2) They have few real responsibilities and
3) Young women age 22 or so want to sleep with guys age 30 and up who have a decent income.

This isn't good for society on any level. But it is especially bad for women. For men, there are pros and cons.

This professor needs to put the blame where it belongs - on the parents of these kids. The kids did not create themselves. The parents created the monsters.

I'm reminded of a few passages.

Because of King Saul's rebellion, 1 Sam 16:14: But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the Lord troubled him.

And because of America's psychotic level of rebellion, Matt 12:43-45: When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

Finally, my tagline.

I feel sorry for those kids of gen z parents. Those so called parents probably grew up on Barney and caillou, no wonder they can’t parent right.

Try reading about China’s “lying flat” movement. The Chinese are just as susceptible to generational malaise as western culture. There will be no China army “liberating” us. The only people who believe that are the brainwashed “China is superman” cult.

China’s got their own cultural time bombs. Like the “lie flat” and “let it rot” movements.

I think it has something to do not only with absent or passive fathers, but disturbed mothers. They usually make a lethal combination. These kind of people produce flakes and psychopaths.
