The morning after the city of Louisville endured its ninth and 10th homicide victims of 2023's first 10 days, Mayor Craig Greenberg brought community leaders together at Metro Hall to call for change and reiterate his commitment to solve the growing crisis.
"That is simply unacceptable. It's tragic," Greenberg said in a news conference Wednesday morning in downtown Louisville. "These are not just numbers. These are people. Ten lives lost. Ten families who have lost a loved one forever. Hundreds of neighbors who have lost a friend. And we are here today because we are one city, plagued by a violent crime emergency."
Greenberg said he's calling on everyone in the city to be part of the change.
"We need everyone's help to stop this violence," he said. "LMPD can not do it on its own, and we should not expect them or want them to do it on its own. Yes, they are part of the solution. They are part of the Louisville family. But we are here today because each and every one of us can be an agent of change."

I remember that case.IIRC there was evidence that strongly suggested that he was stealing stuff from houses that were under construction around there. Copper is valuable and it’s being stolen from many places...including EV charging stations and homes under construction.
Solution:
Stop paying people to sit on their behinds and collect government money for doing nothing but popping out kids.
This will resolve itself within 5 years, tops.
My birthplace hence, my screenname. The problem is a protected class/race causing the problems but the pimps for politicians pander their votes.
And yes,it's sadly true that large cities...even ones in conservative states...will forevermore be ruled by filthy Maoists.
Facts don’t matter.
Black thugs good.
White men bad.
I hear it as “Low-uh-vull.”
Let’s see, Chesty Puller, George Patton, Matthew Ridgeway might get your town back under law and order via martial law in selective districts in town.
But, no democratic mayor is going to make one iota of difference. He will become, or already is, part of the problem.
