Actually material possessions are worth life. For an honest worker a car may represent a year or more of his life. So a thief is stealing a year of life from someone when stealing their car. Sounds like a drop the hammer offense to me

No car or material possession is worth a life That is so sophomoric. That person paid for that car with a portion of his life, and that guy took that portion of his life. Wether he took a whole life or a portion of his life, it's merely degrees of murder. hH deserved exactly what he got.
