Most main stream media is probably not carrying this story because it would infuriate liberal elites who love their gas stoves.
Every dwelling with a kitchen switching from gas to electric will need to upgrade to 200 ampere service.
The power companies, street by street, will have to authorize that according to the power feed capacity on that street.
The power companies may have up increase the service to the entire region as well as street. That can take years.
