The Biden administration is looking into banning gas stoves, used in roughly 40 percent of American households, to "reduce climate-warming emissions (such as from methane) that exacerbate climate change" as the EPA and WHO claim that the gas stoves emit pollutants that are connected to respiratory illness
According to Bloomberg, US Consumer Product Safety Commission Commissioner Richard Trumka Jr said, "This is a hidden hazard" and "Any option is on the table. Products that can’t be made safe can be banned."
Bloomberg reports that "peer-reviewed research published last month" connected 12 percent of asthma cases in American children to emissions from gas stoves. Biden's US Consumer Product Safety Commission is considering regulating gas stoves as a response.
John Hasson pointed out on Twitter that one of the primary studies cited by Bloomberg did a study of only 53 homes that were all located in California.
The World Health Organization and the Environmental Protection Agency have claimed that gas stoves emit gasses such as carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide at levels that are "unsafe and linked to respiratory illness, cardiovascular problems, cancer, and other health conditions."
Brady Seals, who works for the climate change activist "nonprofit clean energy" group RMI in their "carbon-free buildings program" co-authored one of the referenced studies.
Seals said, "By having a gas connection, we are polluting the insides of our homes."
In December of 2021, then-NYC Mayor Bill DeBlasio signed a law mandating that newly constructed buildings in NYC ban gas stoves.
Representative Don Beyer of Virginia and Senator Cory Booker of New Jersey have reached out to the Biden administration and said gas stoves have a disproportionate effect on "Black, Latino and low-income households."
On Twitter, Matt Walsh said, "You will have to pry my gas stove from my cold dead hands," later adding, "Electric stoves are garbage. They cook slow and unevenly. Gas stoves are superior in every way."
California State Senator Scott Weiner wrote in favor of the ban and said, "Gas stoves are toxic to people’s health. They cause asthma in children, cardiac problems & other disease. They need to be phased out."
Weiner has also brought forward bills that relax laws for the sex offender registry, puts biological males in women's prisons, and worked to decriminalize those who infect others with HIV after not telling them of their positive status. Weiner also supports public heroin injection sites and decriminalizing prostitution.
Ian Haworth tweeted, "Joe Biden’s solution to his voluntary destruction of the gas industry is to ban gas cookers, relegating Americans to suffering through food that is either frozen or burned. I.e. tyranny."
Another user noted, "When you lose power due to a blizzard or hurricane, having a gas stove can save your life. Naturally, the government wants to ban it."

F off or I will get a coal stove like my parents had when I was a young child. There’s something nice about that blue, barely orange flame of coal and it smells damn good. I love the way the smoke hangs low on cold, overcast winter days. It would be so nice to piss off my leftist neighbors too.

They are safe for the vast majority of people who use them. This is a ploy.
Now let’s ban swimming pools, because they aren’t safe for some people, especially children.
Let’s also ban plastic bags, because children might suffocate.
Life has hazards. These are unelected bureaucrats running our lives. How do we put an end to the craziness?
They all thought Trump was an authoritarian, but they are the ones who actually do this stuff.
Sick of it.

The timing here is genuinely ridiculous. It’s as if the federal government, specifically the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, led by… Richard Trumka Jr (yes, that guy’s son)… doesn’t think or care that we can see the real issue is to change energy uses.
Now that Russia has been isolated from natural gas sales, the European Union needs the supply of all other natural gas markets in order to keep itself from freezing to death. Simultaneously, natural gas as an energy resource is now bad, terrible like oil and coal, amid the climate change cult.

So, they need to change the narrative and stop people from using natural gas appliances.
Suddenly, after generations of natural gas appliances existing in almost half of the kitchens, suddenly the appliances are toxic, dangerous and likely to require a ban against use.
(Bloomberg) – A federal agency says a ban on gas stoves is on the table amid rising concern about harmful indoor air pollutants emitted by the appliances.
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission plans to take action to address the pollution, which can cause health and respiratory problems. “This is a hidden hazard,” Richard Trumka Jr., an agency commissioner, said in an interview. “Any option is on the table. Products that can’t be made safe can be banned.”
Natural gas stoves, which are used in about 40% of homes in the US, emit air pollutants such as nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide and fine particulate matter at levels the EPA and World Health Organization have said are unsafe and linked to respiratory illness, cardiovascular problems, cancer, and other health conditions, according to reports by groups such as the Institute for Policy Integrity and the American Chemical Society. Consumer Reports, in October, urged consumers planning to buy a new range to consider going electric after tests conducted by the group found high levels of nitrogen oxide gases from gas stoves.
New peer-reviewed research published last month in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health found that more than 12% of current childhood asthma cases in the US can be attributed to gas stove use. (read more)
Its peer reviewed they say. Carved in stone tablets it must be… Just like the vaccine and other health papers and studies… Swear.
Comrade citizens, you must gather twigs, carry flint rocks, eat bugs and sustainable algae cakes, and adapt your parasitic lifestyle to become the best citizen that planet earth deserves. There can be no gas appliances in your tiny house.
All good comrade citizens who care about their carbon footprint are removing gas stoves and returning to heating water atop open fires in order to comply with the permitted bathing requirement each month, while staying safely within your water distribution allotment.

The obvious solution to the gas stove problem is to eliminate Richard Trumka.
One wonders if he is related to the dead terrorist Richard Trumka who was leader of the United Mine Workers and the AFLCIO

The war against reality.
A prophetic line from an all-too prophetic skit.
To: Red Badger
“...gas stoves emit pollutants that are connected to respiratory illness...”
The same rationale could be used to justify the banning of internal-combustion engines—gasoline and diesel vehicles “emit pollutants that are connected to respiratory illness”. And wood stoves. And campfires.
“Products that cannot be made safe can be banned”. This covers just about everything: knives, firearms, hammers. All hail our masters! We are supposed to be a free people. This kind of attitude by a government appointee should not be tolerated.
