She vetoed crap legislation that would not have withstood a legal challenge that was later fixed and passed.
Do try to keep up.

You didn't bother to read the lead article... Nor will you read this.
Run along now...
I won't be doing that. Your prissy online mannerisms are not an acceptable substitute for reasoned argument - provide your own cogent arguments to explain to us all why Noem doesn't actually support the transgender attack on children. I'm not an expert on Noem or South Dakota politics, and I'm willing to be persuaded - but you flouncing around online does absolutely nothing to persuade me.

I knew you wouldn’t bother to READ THE LETTER FROM NOEM ON THIS EXACT ISSUE.
Do you understand how to click on a hyper-link? Have someone show you how it’s done or further discourse with you is an exercise in futility.

Explain it to me yourself. Are you capable of doing so?

Make up your mind. Do you want original sources? Or my opinion?
Fine. Here’s my opinion... Everything her detractors are saying about her is exactly wrong. Far from supporting LGTBQWTFBBQ crap, she’s been working on changing SD laws to be some of the most conservative in the Nation including business regulations, RKBA, property Rights, protecting girls sports, abortion bans, etc...
You can either learn all this for yourself... Or you can just keep swallowing Dessert Rhino’s agitprop.

Why did Noem veto the bill which would have banned transgenders from female sports in 2021?
Why is she now calling for the head of this Family Heritage Alliance to be removed, after he "released a letter publicly calling on her to take action on “kid-friendly” drag shows"?

Why did Noem veto the bill which would have banned transgenders from female sports in 2021? Because 2 of the 4 provisions in the original bill would not have survived a legal challenge. She put temp bans in place until the Legislature put a clean bill on her desk.
Because the Head's wife used to work for Noem until she was fired for cause. Politics is a dirty business.

Yep... Keep reading... There’s more there... Including her restoring prayer to schools, passing a clean sports bill that protects girl’s sports, abortion ban, etc...
You know... the stuff she’s ACTUALLY done rather than what someone else says she’s done.
Or... We can just go with whatever some rando spews on an internet forum... Your choice.

This thread from Twitchy reveals how deeply Sanford Health (which profits from the trans mania) and local transgender groups have infiltrated South Dakota and Kristi Noem's office. The bottom line is that deviancy creates new markets and profit opportunities. And it will continue until their bottom line starts suffering for these kinds of decisions.

I was just refuting the “she supports tranny lap dances in schools” stuff; you are right of course.

It really gets me some times that people can just so blatantly twist things. All of this stuff is just right there to go read...
I don’t have a dog in the SD political hunt. I look across the border and I see a governor getting good things done for her State. Conservative things...
But, because some RINO got their knickers in a twist... She takes a lot of flack, most of it not true.
Her handling of the relations with the Tribes for instance... That’s something that could be a real concern. Lack of the “tech corridor” initiative that could have brought a lot of capital into Rapid City... Including the IT company I work for... Etc...
FReegards...

Because 2 of the 4 provisions in the original bill would not have survived a legal challenge. She put temp bans in place until the Legislature put a clean bill on her desk.
Then why did she say that she vetoed it because she feared backlash from the NCAA immediately after her veto? She didn't cite any possible legal challenges - she said the bill violated NCAA policy, could lead to "punitive action by the NCAA", and asked that the bill be modified to exempt college athletics.
The explanation that the governor was doing pre-emptive vetting of possible legal challenges came later. Why?
Because the Head's wife used to work for Noem until she was fired for cause. Politics is a dirty business.
Then why hasn't she been calling for this guy to be replaced already? Why is the trigger his call for her to oppose drag-queen interactions with children?
To: 6thavenue
Noem and the South Dakota GOP seem to be pro-transgender. Not good.

She didn't cite any possible legal challenges... She did though... Of course, proving that would require you to click on a link... So...
I don't have any more time to waste on you. The info is there, to remain ignorant is your choice.

90% of the comments in this thread would not have been made if the commenters had read the article first.
To: Dead Corpse
She vetoed crap legislationLOL. Riiiiiight. And her latest pro-drag antics are just totally out of "character" for her.
To: M. Thatcher
There have been no “pro-drag antics” anywhere outside your twisted little mind.
Missed the part were she got the Regents to ban kiddie drag shows? Of course you did...
