PUTIN'S REVENGE Russia claims it has ‘killed 600 Ukrainian soldiers’ in huge rocket strike in revenge for deadly attack on Putin’s force

RUSSIA claimed it killed 600 Ukrainian soldiers in a single massive rocket strike in revenge for a deadly attack on Putin's forces.

Moscow said it had blasted two buildings temporarily housing 1,300 Ukrainian troops in the country's eastern region Donetsk on Sunday.

Russia's defence ministry claimed more than 600 Ukrainian soldiers had been killed in the city of Kramatorsk in what it branded a "retaliatory strike".

But Ukraine has dismissed Moscow's claim.

Serhiy Cherevaty, a spokesman for the Ukrainian army, told the BBC: "This is another piece of Russian propaganda."

Kramatorsk's mayor earlier said there had been no casualties.

Russia's defence ministry had claimed the strike was revenge for a deadly Ukrainian attack on New Year's Eve.

It said Moscow had used what it called reliable intelligence to target the Ukrainian troops.

A spokesman said: "As a result of a massive missile strike on these temporary deployment points of Ukrainian army units, more than 600 Ukrainian servicemen were destroyed."

But Reuters reporters visited the two college dormitories Russia's defence ministry said had been temporarily housing Ukrainian servicemen close to the front line of the war at the time of the overnight strike.

The outlet said neither appeared to have been directly hit by missiles or seriously damaged and there were no obvious signs that soldiers had been living there and no sign of bodies or traces of blood. ***

In a war of attrition, Russia has the upper hand. In a war of strategy and tactics, Ukraine seems to be prevailing.

Either way, the truth was the first victim of this conflict.

In a war of strategy and tactics billions of dollars of US-supplied weapons and intelligence, Ukraine seems to be prevailing.

Fixed it.

And European supplied weaponry and supplies as well.
It’s technically a world war that is going on here.

It’s not a world war.

A world war would be on at least 2 continents and with more than 2 belligerents.

Both sides VASTLY exaggerate the casualties they cause in these relatively rare attacks on these large, concentrated targets. Where the killing and disabling of troops is actually happening in MASSIVE numbers is in the daily/hourly continuous grind of artillery strikes on the various fronts. And the war cheerleaders have blinded themselves to the human tragedies being visited on uncounted numbers of both Ukrainian and Russian families.

The Moscow shills are getting desperate. Only reports favorable to Moscow and the Stalin wannabe, Putin, are considered to be reliable in their eyes.

It is a war that is involving all the major world powers. Europe, America, Russia, China and Europe are involved in this war in terms of manpower and supplying the manpower. It doesn’t have to take place on multiple world continent. It just needs to involve the countries in question.

A world war is an international conflict which involves all or most of the world’s major powers.[1] Conventionally, the term is reserved for two major international conflicts that occurred during the first half of the 20th century, World War I (1914–1918) and World War II (1939–1945), although historians have also described other global conflicts as world wars, such as the Seven Years’ War and the Cold War.

It would be a world war (granted that this is a stupid argument over hyperbolic rhetoric), presumably, if there were fighting between multiple coyntries in disparate parts of the world as part of the dispute in Ukraine. I have not heard of any.

By that standard Spain, 1936-39, would have been a “world war” because many countries provided assistance, or volunteers, to one side or the other.

No, its just dumb hyperbole.

Was Vietnam a world war, or Korea?

According to wikipedia, anytime the major powers are all involved, it is one. The size of the war itself does not seem to matter.

According to your measure Vietnam, Ukraine, Korea, the Cold War have all been World Wars.

How many world wars can we add up according to your standard?

This is WWVI or WWXX, WWXXXII?
