Former President Trump is taking a victory lap following Speaker Kevin McCarthy‘s (R-Calif.) win after 15 rounds of voting.
“The Fake News Media was, believe it or not, very gracious in their reporting that I greatly helped Kevin McCarthy attain the position of Speaker of the House,” Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social platform on Saturday.
“Thank you, I did our Country a big favor!”
Although there was talk of Trump’s weakened political clout after Republicans opposed to McCarthy’s Speakership bid ignored the former president’s urging to back him, reports throughout the days-long voting process showed that Trump may have successfully swayed some of McCarthy’s GOP detractors

I was disappointed that after Gaetz nominated Trump for Speaker nobody else joined in.

Nothing to boast about. He should be speaking out against a person like McCarthy. I watched as McCarthy applauded Pence when he stabbed Trump in the back and McCarthy then made his little illuminati hand gesture.

Right, his opponents have destroyed themselves by winning 5 elections in a row and unleashing transgender groomers on America’s children.
Its a political community. Friends one day enemies the next.

Why he did so is not clear
People can trust the hill to explain it. Or people can wise up and see that Trump is out to help tge country and just let him do his job. They can finally consider this:
Trump went to Wharton school of finance at U Penn. not as a Manchurian but as a student with academic Nona dudes from a family of smart business people. He was successful on his own with NO illegal practices
He knows and uses game theory ditto sun tzu
People who don’t trust him are marginalized by those who do trust him not because those who trust him are in a cult but because those who don’t trust him are ignorant

Watch him change his tune after McCarthy screws something up.
Supporting McCarthy will come back to haunt Trump and his supporters. It’ll be the same as Trump’s endorsements for McConnell and Romney.
The opportunity to get rid of McCarthy is now gone. People keep reelecting RINOs and expect them to be better than Democrats. They never learn and then they chastise anyone who tried to warn them.
