South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem appears to be showing off her bona fides ahead of what's expected to be a competitive 2024 Republican presidential primary as she gave her second inaugural speech Saturday.

Noem, who won re-election by 26 points, spoke ahead of the speech, which included a reference to David Letterman's famous 'Top 10' lists and discussed how her leadership can offer lessons for the rest of the country.

She was asked Saturday if she wasn't ruling out a 2024 run and responded that 'that's fair to say. But there are a lot of people out there talking about running for president. I also know that politics changes quickly and things change on a dime on who's going to run and who's not going to run. I want the best person.' ...

...At the Conservative Political Action Conference in February, she was voted No. 2 by attedees, after DeSantis, when former President Donald Trump wasn't in the mix, in the event's annual presidential straw poll....

Both good prospects for 2024.

DeSantis praised the Jan 6 committee and said the protesters deserve what they get, so he doesn’t have my support.

Trump throwing gay parties, lying on what pro-lifers believe in, helping to get a WEF member elected for speaker, does not have my support.

I’ll have to look more closely at her

My grandparents lived in Pierre. Really nice place to visit, or live. Big small town.

‘Good prospects’ if you like a Brit calling the shots for who runs. Noem and DeSantis? Which of the two has declared?

As far as Trump goes, if he runs I’m voting for him, period.

She’s wasting her time. She’s not capable of standing up to the criminal cabal deep state. She would fold like a little petticoat.

Let us know if she ever has the guts to throw down the gauntlet like this and make the cabalists sweat.........

If DeSantis or Noem would get the nomination then you know it’s another RIGGED election process.

DeSantis is riding Trump’s coattails. If he runs against Trump, he is done.

Noem doesn’t even rate a nomination.

The potential for either to get the nomination with Trump running is nil.

IMHO Noem squashed her bid by calling for a conservative critic’s removal over complaint about ‘Kid-Friendly’ drag. Bad move, and one Desantis would probably not be in agreement with.

As for me, If DeSantis challenges President Trump in the Primaries, I won't be voting GOP in the General, primarily because DeSantis will have proven himself to be a traitor where MAGA is concerned.

I want to know what good is it to ignore the lack of voter integrity, during several of the last election cycles, and how the continuing ignorance of all of the political cheating that’s happening is supposed to not be a problem, for all conservatives everywhere?

I don’t think he will challenge Trump. He’s young enough to wait it out for the next one and still do good things in Florida further beefing up his chances.

WEF has been brought up a lot lately. If WEF is a deciding factor for anyone, DeSantis has jumped that shark.

It's not even a maybe or a rumor.

Why did Ron DeSantis appoint a WEF person to his administration to counter climate change?

From DeSantis' office: "Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Dr. Julia Nesheiwat as Florida’s first Chief Resilience Officer (CRO). The CRO is tasked with preparing Florida for the environmental, physical and economic impacts of sea level rise." The announcement mentions combatting climate change three different times, and in the middle of the bio is this line: "Dr. Nesheiwat managed the resiliency and energy working group on the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) Global Advisory Council."
Cozying up to the deep state?

I hope you are right, but his silence is deafening.

And for me, it tells me he is more of a politician, than a statesman or leader.

The Mara Lago event was for Log Cabin Republicans, a conservative gay consortium pretty much ostracized along with Trump by GLAAD, who view LCRs as outcasts of the gay community. The event honored openly gay former Ambassador Ric Grenell, appointed as director of nat’l intel by Trump.

Neither DeSantis nor Noem will be able to avoid interacting with gays, including appointing them to various positions. There is a big difference between acknowledging adult gays exist, and the encouraging of cross-dressing and/or indoctrination of children with sexually explicit displays, as the Dems encourage.
