The Biden administration is proposing to tighten a key air pollution regulation after the Trump administration declined to do so.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed on Friday to tighten limits on how much soot can be in the air, though some environmentalists are calling on the agency to go even further to protect public health.
Exposure to soot pollution, also known as fine particle pollution, has been linked to heart attacks, asthma and premature deaths.
This type of pollution can come from burning fossil fuels in cars or at power plants or from other places like fires or construction sites. It disproportionately impacts communities of color and low-income households.
The administration estimated that its move could prevent as many as 4,200 premature deaths per year.
“Fine particulate matter is both deadly and extremely costly,” EPA Administrator Michael Regan told reporters on Thursday, adding that strengthening the standard “could result in significant public health benefits.”

Due to all the hot air being blown up our butts
SCOTUS should/will overrule this. Even Roberts is not a fan of the EPA. One of the few things (other than AA and Voting Rights Act) that he gets right.
“Exposure to soot pollution... has been linked to heart attacks, asthma and premature deaths.”
The misspelled “Covid Vaccines”.
If all those in the DNC would clinch up their ties till they could no longer breath that would be valuable pollution control.
I’m surprised it took this long for the Biden Administration to reverse Trump’s pollution policies.
Let’s kick the economy while it’s down.
Breathing only permitted certain times of the day?
The prevailing winds are from the West across the US. Guess which county is west of the US?
Of course, Joe is doing nothing about that - his contract with the country does not cover it.
Around here, most of the particles in the air are dust particles generated by wind.
Are they going to ban wind and dust?
They would like to.
Apparently they would like to ban agriculture which generates some dust as well as construction. Even now, they have to spray water on the soil to reduce the dust!
But then a dust storm happens and it generates zillion times the amount of dust and nobody can do anything!
Is this mis-administration putting all these new or amended regulations out for the APA mandatory notice and comment periods?
All these thing “disproportionately harm communities of color” but none of these regulations that have led to 100% real inflation “disproportionately harm communities of color.”

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument
Patriots are reminded that the states have never expressly constitutionally give the unconstitutionally big federal government the specific power to dictate policy for either environmental protections or INTRAstate healthcare, especially policy dictated by non-popularly-elected bureaucrats running constitutionally undefined federal regulatory agencies.
”State inspection laws, health laws, and laws for regulating the internal commerce of a State, and those which respect turnpike roads, ferries, &c. are not within the power granted to Congress [emphases added]” —Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
"From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]." —United States v. Butler, 1936.
Pelosi: "We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it." (non-FR; 6 sec.)
“Cherish, therefore, the spirit of our people, and keep alive their attention. If once they become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress and Assemblies, judges and governors, shall all become wolves [emphasis added]. It seems to be the law of our general nature.” - Thomas Jefferson (Letter to Edward Carrington January 16, 1787)
In fact, the congressional record shows that Rep. John Bingham, a constitutional lawmaker, had clarified that the delegates to the Constitutional Convention had left the care of the people to the states, not the federal government.
”Simply this, that the care of the property, the liberty, and the life of the citizen, under the solemn sanction of an oath imposed by your Constitution, is in the States and not in the federal government [emphases added]. I have sought to effect no change in that respect in the Constitution of the country.” —John Bingham, Congressional. Globe. 1866, page 1292 (see top half of third column)
Even if the states were to give the feds the specific power to regulate environment and healthcare, non-popularly elected bureaucrats dictating policy in both federal and state governments weaken the voting power of the people imo.
In other words, the EPA and Obamacare, as examples, should not exist imo.
Biden administration proposes tighter air pollution standard.
If so show us the log book for AF1 miles for the last 2 years.
The Delaware express run every weekend
I am for cutting team Brandon’s air supply way low.
