The speaker of the House election appears headed for a tenth vote as Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and his allies continue to huddle with the 20 holdouts in his party throughout Thursday's votes.

The same group of GOP lawmakers that have been voting against McCarthy since Tuesday are blocking his candidacy on the ninth ballot. The only changes to yesterday's votes compared to the most recent round come from McCarthy foes Lauren Boebert (R-CO), Josh Brecheen (R-OK), and Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), who voted for Rep. Kevin Hern (R-OK).

Gaetz (R-FL) had voted for former President Donald Trump on the prior two rounds. Hern continues to vote for McCarthy.

“And I’m convinced if Trump had “Question Time” he would have shined.”

I absolutely agree.

Apparently most Republicans, excepting about 20, have been unable to rid themselves of their covering of Deep Swamp scum.

I wonder how many Republicans received FTX money that was laundered through Ukraine?

It explains the brain dead actions of Congress to keep giving billions to the corrupted Ukies.

The founder and CEO of the collapsed cryptocurrency exchange, FTX , has admitted to cooperating with the Ukrainian government.

In a CNN interview, Sam Bankman-Fried said that FTX has had financial transactions with the Ukrainian government and individuals in the recent months.

“We’ve seen millions of dollars go through the systems we’ve given,” Bankman-Fried said. “I think that close to a million are sales as well to support humanitarian aid in Ukraine.”

Separate reports have revealed that Bankman-Fried was the second-biggest donor to the Democrat party this year and in 2021.

This event also demonstrates McCarthy’s lack of skill and leadership for this position. If he cannot gain a majority from his own party for his election to this position, how can we expect him to hold back the Radical Dems?

A CEO type person is 180 degrees out of phase with respect to the position.
Trump is the opposite of a consensus builder.
Executives give commands.

Maybe McCarthy can join Hillary at Columbia University as a professor and they can commiserate on how they both deserved to be elected.

You have a really good point and question, and it explains the CHAOS the Deep Swamp Uniparty and Prog Socialist Media are in.

If the 20 odd Honest Conservative Republicans can get the Speakership, there might be an investigation about that.

Well I am not a Christie Republican (whatever that means)

I just can’t see how having McCarthy as speaker is somehow selling out to the globalists. Nobody is selling out their principles. Even Trump isn’t buying that BS. And guess what? If he horrible he can be voted out in 2024 assuming we have better candidates than we did this time.

Hey, you're more than welcome here.

The most available way to reduce Globalist Entitled Control of the House is for the Twenty or so holdouts to Hold The Line until McCarthy drops out in favor of a Republican not known to have sympathy for the Globalist Entitled Swamp society.

I see no reason to be in a hurry or support McCarthy.

You're right on both counts, and this is not chaos, it is procedure ...

that is NOT being controlled by the Globalist Entitled Elite.
