Missouri executed a he/she the other night. Another convict scheduled to be put down next month. They use 3 types of meds. Sodium Thiopental is number one. Not sure why some states claim they can’t get this stuff.
With all the fentanyl the police seize every week, why not use it for lethal injection. I hear it isn’t painful and far less than a gram is fatal.

I have proposed a version of this for released muslim terrorists. Upon releasing one of these animals inform them that they will be given $100 in bags and then all they would have to do is swim a mere 20 miles to land and their freedom. This is a sane and humane procedure that will warm the cockles on any leftist.
Of course there is a catch: just before the swim starts, the $100 will be divided into two bags each containing $50 in pennies, one bag handcuffed to each leg.

I think I would pick the firing squad.
Should always be a firing squad with victims families allowed to be part of the execution. Convicted should be strapped up to a wall. Then the victims should be allowed to fire a hundred rounds into the convict.

Once again, this entire issue is stupid. We know how to execute people safely, cheaply, and painlessly (so as not to offend snowflakes). If you’ve ever worked in an industrial setting that uses nitrogen, you might be aware of some of the OSHA rules that surround various processes. If you walk into a building that has a high concentration of nitrogen, you can easily suffocate and die before you have any idea that there is anything wrong. Because nitrogen doesn’t trigger a response in the body that tells it it is being suffocated, you basically just pass out. One minute you’re walking across a room. The next you’re having a very confused talk with Saint Peter.
If you believe the state should have the power to execute people for committing particularly heinous crimes, you just have to have an airtight room that you can pipe nitrogen into. You just wheel the condemned into the room. Dump nitrogen into the room, wait 15 minutes, then cart out the body. The only special hardware you’d really need is an oxygen sensor that is visible from the exterior door. After the execution is carried out, you evacuate the air to the roof and pipe in ambient air. Because no poisons or chemicals are used, you don’t run afoul of things like the hypocratic oath or any of that nonsense. I understand that some folk are not going to like the fact that the condemned won’t suffer, but this method takes almost all objections from the procedure away except for those who just simply do not believe the punishment is appropriate. I figure the afterlife that awaits them will cause enough suffering.
All you do by continuing to use other forms of execution is to insert variables into the process, and provide hooks for people to object to the practice.
If someone has a better, cleaner, and more sure method, I’d like to hear it.
Missouri uses pentobarbital now. One shot. They did away with the three drug injection a few years back, actually.
I’ve heard that using barbasol gives you a nice clean shave.
