Speaker candidate Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) was already inhabiting the Speaker’s office He is not even entitled to a vacant Janitors cubicle somewhere in the nether reaches of the house basement.
Since he is not currently an elected government official he is a CIVILIAN and the Sergent at arms / Capital police should arrest him and escort him to jail awaiting trial.

The architect is Art Vandelay - a man of many talents, Architect, Marine Biologist and Importer/Exporter. With all those balls in the air he probably never finished the Capitol -

Or, he is getting on with the job in anticipation of a favorable election outcome.
Perhaps that is premature but if he loses, it won’t really matter.

“We’d be p1ssed to the moon if a democrat did this and hadn’t been formally elected Speaker.”
Exactly. Hubby didn’t think there was anything wrong with this. I asked what he’d say if it were Pelosi pulling the same stunt.
Pelosi and McCarthy seem to have about the same degree of hubris and entitlement.

McCarthy is an arrogant a-hole, assistant Democrat. He’s a squatter and it is revealing. Exactly what has McCarthy done in his life? What has he earned? What has he built? He’s a talentless fvck. He has never had a job in the private sector. That in itself is telling. He has zero experience in the real world and cannot relate to those that make America run. He has to take what he doesn’t earn, hence squatting in an office that he did not win. He exists solely on the back of hard working American taxpayers. He’s a miserable POS and the model of EVERYTHING wrong with America.
I will make this completely clear. Anyone that makes a career out of government is the enemy to America. They lack the principles, values, courage and ability to build in the private sector. They exist solely on the work of others. And they don’t even say ‘thank you’.
I’m about done with Republicans. When Republicans politicians fight each other instead of fighting Democrats and doing what their constituents want, then you know they are in politics purely for themselves. Everything the 20 holdouts want is completely reasonable. McCarthy is fighting tooth and nail to essentially disenfranchise Republican voters. McCarthy want the status quo in which a few make all the decisions in writing shitty legislation and the many have several hours to not read the legislation and then vote for it. The vast majority of Republican congressmen seem fine with this and support McCarthy. That’s where I have a problem. It’s the vast majority of Republicans that I have issues. In short, the GOP has left me, and it’s not recent. There has been zero movement in the right direction for decades.

“What has he promised to the swamp?”
The question is: “What has he promised to the lobbyists and the CCP?”. He IS the swamp.
He’s terrified the the illegitimate income stream to support him and the little lady, Frank Luntz, might disappear.

If Trump were to back off support for Luntz's boyfriend he would look like a real statesmen.
Possible Trump position statement: "Look, critics call me a divider. Well I tried to unite the GOP but it looks like Kev is not the guy for SOTHOR. I will not endorse anyone at this time."
Would be a great MAGA move!!

“The architect? Wasn’t he done when the building was finished?”
Said the architect:
” Denial is the most predictable of all human responses. But, rest assured, this will be the sixth time we have destroyed it, and we have become exceedingly efficient at it.”
