If McCarthy is unable to convince Republicans he’ll probably be unable to convince Democrats.

I disagree, I recall Bernie Sanders throwing a hissy fit because two of the Dems were holding the Dems hostage on the filibuster rule etc.

So, who exactly do the Gang O’Holdouts have in mind today for Speaker (it seems to change hourly)? Is it anyone that has even a remote chance at 218 votes?
Throughout this entire process the Gang has not nominated a single person that comes close to being a consensus candidate. Just pissing and moaning about McCarthy seems to be the only plan the Gang has.

Absolutely NOTHING needs to happen inside the U.S. House of Representatives at this time. We have had two years of non-stop destruction by that body.
Nobody is bleeding. No fire is burning.
There is NO EMERGENCY.

No republican will vote for Jeffries. And with only 202 votes, at least 11 Dems will have to vote present for McCarthy to get his 10%.
