Vladimir Putin suffered yet another devastating blow over the weekend after 700 Russian soldiers were killed in a Ukrainian missile strike, RadarOnline.com has learned.
In a stunning development to come as Russia’s war against Ukraine quickly approaches the one-year mark, the deadliest strike yet reportedly took place on Saturday as Putin was giving his annual New Year’s address from Moscow.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, 700 Russian soldiers were killed when Ukrainian forces launched a missile barrage on a barracks building in Makiivka, Donetsk.
The building also reportedly held numerous armored cars, boxes of ammunition, and missiles that were ultimately destroyed in the missile strike and added to the destruction.
Despite evidence finding 700 Russian soldiers were killed during Saturday’s strike, “official” Russian figures suggested only 63 Russian troops died in the attack and those who died were young recruits being trained to fight on the frontlines of the war.
Top Kremlin officials were also reportedly “annoyed” that so many soldiers, military supplies, and ammunition were left in one place to be destroyed.
“The uncounted and uninteresting bodies will remain to rot under the concrete rubble,” said Alexander Nevzorov, an exiled Russian journalist, when the attack was confirmed. “Soldiers’ meat in Russia is so cheap that it makes no sense to count.”
Also shocking are Russia’s claims Ukraine used American-made HIMARS rockets to carry out the attack on New Year’s Eve.
One HIMAR (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System) reportedly costs roughly $2.4 million and the United States has so far donated 22 of the units to Ukraine since May 2022.
HIMARS reportedly have the capacity to fire six missiles at once and can target any site within a 310-mile range.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Putin was giving his New Year’s address when the deadly missile strike took place.
While 700 Russian soldiers lost their lives during the attack, Putin was promising his citizens that Russia would prevail in Ukraine and regain “historical territory” from Ukrainian forces.
“The West lied about peace,” Putin said during his address. “It was preparing for aggression. … And now they are cynically using Ukraine and its people to weaken and split Russia.”
“Together, we will overcome all difficulties and preserve our country’s greatness and independence,” the 70-year-old leader added. “We will triumph, for our families and for Russia.”
Are you kidding? Putin and Xi are best friends.
We ain’t doing so hot ourselves. Take out the illegals pouring over the border we’re at near zero population growth.
😂😂😂😂😂
Seems like Ukrainians take after their leader. Drama, drama, and comedy.
About 90 soldiers were killed, 130 wounded.
uncounted and uninteresting bodies will remain to rot under the concrete rubble,” said Alexander Nevzorov, an exiled Russian journalist, when the attack was confirmed. “Soldiers’ meat in Russia is so cheap that it makes no sense to count.”
There are videos of them digging through the rubble. This is complete garbage lies.
Ordinary run of the mill Ukranian soldiers are flying small drones that locate Russians.
Yes but it’s our spooks that hit them with the bigger bombs it’s a war by proxy.
89 Russian Combat Soldiers
? number of logistics, support, and training personnel
? number of recruits (not yet soldiers)
? number of visitors
But again, combat soldiers? Probably, so far, the 89 stated.
Pray for a cease fire, lasting, and peace.

This is certainly my concern.

That is what happened today as Ukraine and the West reacted to news, confirmed by Russia’s own Ministry of Defense, that a U.S. Himars hit an improvised barracks of Russian soldiers and killed at least 63. Why the big deal? We have been told repeatedly over the last 8 months that Russia is suffering catastrophic casualties. What makes this so special and deserving of so much attention?
The answer is simple — this is the first time since the war started in February 2022 that Russia has suffered more than 50 casualties in one engagement in one day. How do I know? Because the Russian telegram channels lit up immediately when this happened. This is the first time I have seen that kind of reaction from the Russian side in the last 10 months.
The reaction to this missile attack highlights the stark contrast between Russia and Ukraine. The spokesman for the Russian MOD freely and frankly admitted to the “success” of the Ukrainian strike while the Ukrainian military — which is losing at least 200 men every day — covers up their losses and insists they are beating the hell out of Russia. The Ukrainians have told so many lies over the course of the last 10 months — e.g. the Ghost of Kiev, capturing a Russian border outpost, shooting down all Russian cruise missiles, driving the Russians out of Kherson, etc. — that this successful missile strike finally gave them something real they could celebrate.
But this attack is a lie. It was not carried out by highly trained Ukrainian troops sitting on an ample supply of Himars. This was done with Western supplied intelligence that identified the troop concentration and provided the coordinates for launching a precision strike. Moreover, it is highly likely that NATO troops were helping operate the Himar system. This attack actually is a sign of Ukrainian and Western desperation. It changes nothing in terms of the strategic picture.
Math is hard.... When both sides keep changing the variables.
Russia wiped out a troop deployment and weapons transfer point the following day, claiming about 200 Ukes and mercs “ neutralized” so yeah, probably pretty symmetrical response
Russia is not sending untrained recruits.
This mobilized unit from Saratov was probably in
training for 3 months or more, and contained
many veterans with some prior service…that
was the mobilization target
Do not confuse Uke cannon fodder unfortunates with
Russian mobilized conscripts.
Entirely too much projection coming out of Kiev and obediently
parroted by brain-dead disinfo partnered media
Right, Russians blew up a "military" ice arena
Except Russia is “ neutralizing” a battalion equivalent of Ukes every day, mostly with artillery, and the Ukes dying never even see a Russian except through sporadic drone attacks. Plus reports of high death rates among Uke wounded…that cannot receive care or are denied by their unit officers….some really horrible anecdotes
Which is why Uke losses are 8-10 times higher than Russia’s.
Which is an accomplishment.
One they stated as a mission at the outset of the SMO.
A new years miracle. Local responders put out the fire before it even knocked over a pallet of water bottles. A new roof, a little removal of unexploded missile debris,, and the children can return to ice skating,
There is nothing in your comment which sounds like anything other than mere assertion, and with assertions like this:
“Which is why Uke losses are 8-10 times higher than Russia’s.”
you sound like a drooling, raving madman.
Even the PAID Russian propagandists don’t make such asbolutely stupid claims. If Uke losses were even 50% higher than Russia’s, Putin would be hosting Biden in a state dinner in Kiev right now.
>> A new years miracle. Local responders put out the fire before it even knocked over a pallet of water bottles. <<
Exactly what damage do you expect to happen to several thousand wide-bottomed water bottles, packed tightly against each other? You could drop a huge bomb in the middle of those water bottles and leave nearly all of them completely unmoved. You’re not propagating a wave through a continuous liquid, you’re trying to transfer force through hundreds of distinct compartments, each one of them with 1-pi/4 compressibility. Short of vaporizing them, you’re not budging them.
