yes, it’s glaringly obvious that KM is NOT conservative and DJT should never have endorsed him. I say he (DJT) should come out and tell people to rally behind Jordan and get this done.
I would like to think that Trump was smart enough to endorse McCarthy, in order to have this confrontation occur, but then I could be giving Trump too much credit.
I would prefer Jordan over McCarthy any day of the week, but telling Congressmen to line up behind a guy who is currently looking at a 20-202 deficit in the vote makes for some terrible political optics.
Jordan can’t be speaker. A speaker must be able to get consensus and set an agenda. The only thing Jordan has built consensus in is lobbing incendiary questions and comments. And he knows if he’s speaker, he’s the next Boehner or Ryan. He’ll be filleted.
