Trump climbing back up on the fence again, I see.
Trump would come across as an absolute moron if he told people to support the guy who currently has less than 10% of the GOP House members on his side.
The bigger question is will McCarthy stick with Trump.

Every time he goes against him he gets his butt kicked by Trump’s MAGA supporters.
Then he eventually heads to Mar-a-Lago and kisses Orange Ass.
Andy Biggs- AZ 5th CD, wants the job.
A quick check finds that he has a 0 score from the ACLU, a 0 score from an environmental conservation group, and a 0 score from the AFL CIO. All the right enemies, so Biggs sounds good to me.

You think maybe that is the reason Trump supports him?
I would prefer Jordan over McCarthy any day of the week, but telling Congressmen to line up behind a guy who is currently looking at a 20-202 deficit in the vote makes for some terrible political optics.

Jordan is backing McCarthy & doesn’t want the job, he wants to do what he does best, attack & investigate the democrats.
I don’t care for McCarthy, but he has the most votes and actually wants the Speaker position.
Also, McCarthy was the only one I ever saw fundraising and campaigning in my state. Oregon democrats got cute with redistricting and we almost ended up with a 3-3 split in the House.(4-2 dem but they gerrymandered for 5-1)

Give it to Andy Biggs then. I keep hearing Jordan has never even wanted that job. Jordan is always very careful not to make himself the point man for a job where no matter what you do, somebody is upset and disgusted with you.

Jordan can’t be speaker. A speaker must be able to get consensus and set an agenda. The only thing Jordan has built consensus in is lobbing incendiary questions and comments. And he knows if he’s speaker, he’s the next Boehner or Ryan. He’ll be filleted.
