Exactly.
Kind of curious who Pres Trump voted for. Oh wait, he didn’t. He’s not a member of the House.
They can’t keep away from him.
However, it would be awesome if one or two of the 19, in the next round of voting, submitted his name. Heads would explode.
It could happen, and- we’ll have to wait and see.

Maybe.
The reason I’m not that invested in the rebellion against McCarthy, is I think they’re all part of the political establishment or they wouldn’t be in DC.
“All of them”
I agree. That’s a job worth getting done! In contrast, the Speaker position is somewhat ceremonial and a good way to get invited to dinner parties.
The key would be to know what you are going into and to resist all temptations at a great personal cost.
I am a past whistle-blower against my “union” supervisor at an operational nuclear power plant.
I fully expected to get whacked by a biker gang on my way home from work, or when I approached my house at night. Fun times.
I went to safer places for a few years- Afghanistan and Iraq. Lol.
I hear ya’ though.
There are a few good men...
I agree nominating Trump would be fun.
But it is not wrong for people/reporters to question The Don on his current support. Normally, maybe not. But Trump stuck his nose into the matter already. He told the non-McCarthy candidates to not run and get on the establishment bandwagon.
The fact that Trump went limp on Kev already is worth asking about.
These are defining times. That ceremonial stuff is noise. We need signal, signal, signal.
Matt Gaetz has had the rectal inspection by the 3 letter agencies already and is fed up!
Same for Devin Nunes... and Kash Patel... and many other Trump surrogates/consiglieres.
This is WAR!
There are a few good men...
********
Apparently you’re one of them 👍
Maybe you should run for Congress.
Good point.
Trump wants McCarthy.
I suffer the same fate as many in life- skeletons in yee old closet. TY, however (doffs cap) for the kind words.
I suppose we should take into consideration how many of our elected officials have been scrutinized through the filters of our many alphabet-intelligent agencies, and appreciate those that continue to participate. Am I right?
I DID help get a person elected to the US Senate, Peter Fitzgerald, only to have him taken out by Ray LaHood and Dennis Hastert.
Dennis Hastert (Speaker of the House) went to prison for funneling money to a blackmailer and for failing to report the large money transfers... he was also accused of molesting high school wrestlers while a coach in Yorktown, IL.
Ray LaHood, 18th CD, and my Congress critter, at one time... when I resided in IL, was appointed by Barack Obama, to be his Secretary of Transportation. This equals another federal gravy train pension for good old boy Ray LaHood. Why? He took out a sitting US Senator, (Fitzgerald) which allowed for an upstart and unknown Barack Hussein Obama to win the senate nomination.
You make a great point about skeletons.(I have many myself)
Anybody that gets into politics better have thick skin. Political opponents and the media will lie and distort whatever information they can find. Your family and friends will hear these slanders as well.
Blood sport politics is why I rarely throw one of our politicians under a bus, just because I read or heard ‘something.’
Thanks for the friendly & interesting chat. Take care.
These guys are playing a dangerous game to squeeze McCarthy into doing the right thing
Pretty sure both Jordan and Trump are in on it
They have a 50-50 chance of sucess.
They have declared war on the establishment
Indeed the speakership voters are in a what’s in it for me game plan it’s D.C. no deal it don’t move.
