Hutchinson: We Can’t Fix Border Without Pressuring Mexico to Do More Against Cartels
Breitbart ^ | 12/31/2022 | Ian hatchett

Posted on 12/31/2022 5:07:58 PM PST by ChicagoConservative27

On Friday’s broadcast of Newsmax TV’s “Spicer & Co.,” Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R) argued that we can’t be successful in controlling drug smuggling or the flow migrants at the border “without taking on the cartel in a greater sense, with the cooperation of Mexico, we have to use tools that are at our hands in order to pressure Mexico to do more. That is the biggest challenge that we face.”

The ONLY way we can get anything done on the southern border is a wholesale change in Washington....

According to the Epoch Times, the number one human trafficker, by far, is the US State Dept, working with the UN.

You beat me to it.

Mexican Cartels = Mexican Government.
They are one in the same.

I’d prefer invading and slaughtering all cartels from El Paso down to South America.

Regarding posts 3 and 4: you could substitute 'Big Pharma Companies' for 'Cartels', and I wouldn't see a big difference between Mexico and the United States. If anything, the 'Big Pharma' companies have more notches on their belts than the cartels.
Our Federal Government does their bidding, as does the Mexico Federal Government the bidding of the cartels.

And, we can impact them by leaving them in pools of their own blood...location not relevant.

With our record of military losses around the world do you want to risk losing a war to the cartels on the border - and I am not being sarcastic. I am being sardonic.

Political interference. Using the Schwarzkopf policy of winning wars, the US would win the war.

However, corrupt politicians would other wise interfere and then you have possible terrorist attacks within the country because the cartels all own the drug distribution routes in America and they get a cut from everybody that is involved in the drug trade.

The cartels are worldwide, not just Mexico.

I wonder how many of our elites are on the payroll or how many are being blackmailed or threatened.

June 3, 2019 Mexican government admits 80% of its populated territory is run by cartels, including key border, Daniel Horowitz.

In 2019, the Mexican government had firm control of between 20% to 30% of the populated territory. The rest was either controlled by cartels or in dispute (being fought over) between the government and cartels. I do not know how it has changed since then.

We have plenty of Claymore mines in our inventory. All you need to do is pop off a few to send a message.

There is a reason we don’t go after the cartels the way we go after, say, ISIS. The cartels will hang the children of our Senators and Congressman from telephone poles. No one in our government has the stones to deal with that.

Mexican Government exists now only at the behest of the Cartels. I suspect that the US Government is bought off as well and exists (at least the Democratic Party) to serve China and the Cartels. But, this will not last for ever—The Cartels will get to fighting for Control and Mexico will slip into Civil War. The Mexican people will toss the whole lot out and go Maoist Communist and shoot the whole lot.

“Sure we can. Park the army, air force and marines on the border and have the navy do contant patrols on any navigable and even partially navigable waters involved with standing orders to eliminate any and all threats of hostile forces crossing into this country. “

Tell Mexico no money and no trade unless you agree to let our troops into your country to eliminate the cartels.

This garbage narcissist must be planning a presidential run.

His ego is too big (or he’s too stupid) to realize that no one wants him to run.
