Ray Epps, 61, had his life turned upside down after conspiracies swirled that he was working for the FBI as an informant at the Capitol riot – even though he told the January 6 committee that he went to Washington, D.C. on that trip to bond with his son.
Epps denied in his interview with the House panel that he was working for the FBI at the time of the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, according to a transcript released on Thursday.
He also listed a series of tragic events that have plagued him since the conspiracy was started nearly a year ago now. This includes his wife being forced to move out of their home and live elsewhere, and a series of death threats directed at himself and his family.

In the Jan. 6 video of Ray Epps at the barracade, where he is talking in the ear of one of the persons who moments latert, entered the restricted area, doesn’t the video show Ray Epps also running into the restricted area?
Did they ask what he meant by gong to the Capitol the next day? He was doing something.
Okay, he did not work FOR the FIB, he was an independent contractor working for some cutout firm that was working for a different alphabet agency. A difference without a distinction.

He most likely WAS an FIB informant. HOW DO I KNOW? He HASN'T been held accountable for his actions, THAT'S HOW I KNOW.
Maybe Ray Epps was working for the FBI. Is he was, is the FBI guilty of inciting a riot? We need to know this.
How could we have a January 6 Committee and spend millions, without having any curiosity about who Ray Epps is and why he was on the FBI’s most wanted list but never arrested?
...and yet NO ONE tells us why he wasn’t arrested, considering what we have on video.
How is Ray Epps not in jail? Seems like they went to great lengths to find anyone and everyone that the cameras picked up, except for Ray Epps.
I suspect the Democrats worked with Epps to VERY CAREFULLY craft the questions, so he didn’t have to lie. Not a hard thing to do when you don’t have to worry about Cross Examination.

The current thinking is that Ray Epps can deny being an FBI informant because he wasn't an FBI informant - he was a DHS informant, which is why he was initially on the FBI's January 6th Most Wanted List, then mysteriously removed.

So I assume Ray Epps will be called back to testify once the GOP takes over? /s Instead of asking if he worked for the FBI “at the time” of the trespass event he instigated, maybe use better questions.
Seems like independent contractor is most likely. Still, what he was doing was not legal. At least these actions don’t appear legal.
I really do not think the Republicans will have any interest in getting Ray Epps to testify. It will not happen.
