If they threw out everyone who has lied on his/her resume, the halls of Congress would be empty!

More lawfare executed by democrats during this ongoing CWII. This law would, of course, only be applied to republicans and never democrats if passed.

Perfect example of the pot calling the kettle black. A commie dem is concerned about a Republican who lied to enhance his qualifications to run for office. Our whole US govt is being run by liars who lied against Trump and ran a coup to remove him from office and have never paid any price for the stealing of an election or any other treasonous activities they engage in. Santos is small pickings for scandal mongering. Sounds like a normal liar in this current culture.

Santos was just following precedence established by Blumenthal, Pochohontos Warren and several other Dems.

Personable individuals in nineteenth century Britain avoided debtors prison by running for and being elected to Parliament.
Kind of a refuge.

A SHERIFF! BUT LAW AND ORDER IS THE LAST THING I WANT! WAIT A MINUTE…MAYBE I CAN USE THIS TO MY ADVANTAGE. IF I COULD FIND A SHERIFF WHO SO OFFENDS THE PEOPLE OF ROCK RIDGE THAT HIS VERY APPEARANCE WOULD DRIVE THEM OUT OF TOWN! WHEREVER WILL I FIND SUCH A MAN? WHY AM I ASKING YOU?

Democrat launches SANTOS Act – short for ‘Stop Another Non-Truthful Office Seeker’ - to punish candidates for lying about background ... If they kick out every lying politician it will be better than term limits, and Pedo Joe would be the first to go!

That would devastate the Dem party.

One suspects that following Mister Santos' whoppers about his background and looking forward, all candidates for all major offices will be scrutinized by internet sleuths and the media long before elections happen. (Santos is, at best a one-and-done, and I wouldn't trust him with membership on any significant committee.)
Thus, such legislation is far from needed.
Might this be a good time to request full and complete official collegiate transcripts from Mister Obama?
Did Mister Kerry ever release the full and complete documentation regarding his discharge from the Navy?
And, we could look at Hillary's list of mendacities, but that's a separate, and long, post.

How many blatantly unconstitutional acts have we seen from the Democrats since Trump was elected? We just had another one today (Trump's tax returns). 2020 was a coup, not an election, and we will be paying the price until the GOP either grows a pair or is replaced.

I wonder if Blumenthal supports this? It must have a statute of limitations.
