Trump Suggests He’d Be Willing to Exercise the Bull Moose Option in Cryptic Truth Social Post
American Tribune ^ | 12/29/2022 | Will (staff)

"The Republican Party of 1912 decided it would be better off renominating William Howard Taft, even though its voters would have preferred another Roosevelt term. The resulting split ushered in Woodrow Wilson and the first academic globalists, whose bright ideas laid the groundwork for a second world war on the eve of the conclusion of the first. ...

But, despite the obvious differences, we’re heading for a 1912-repeat, in which the Republican Party ignores its own voters. The Republican machine has no intention of letting us choose Trump again: He is not a uniparty team player. They’d rather lose an election to the Democrats, their brothers in crime, than win with Trump.

That leads us to the inevitable question: What should we do when a majority of Republicans want Trump, but the Republican Party says we can’t have him?"

I already voted for Trump four times. He’s going to have to do better to win my vote again. So far it seems he hasn’t learned a damned thing.

“I already voted for Trump four times. He’s going to have to do better to win my vote again.”

Better how exactly? And who on the R side do you prefer at this point? I hear Jeb is looking for work.

“So far it seems he hasn’t learned a damned thing.”

Neither have a whole lot of Freepers, apparently.

They never stopped.

What is the Bull Moose option?

Does it involve biting someone’s sister?

He’s taking a page from McCarthy’s playbook: If you don’t go with me, you will get a DemocRat. That may be the only reason he’s backing a RINO snake like McCarthy, so he can use that tactic, too.

He said in 2014 that he would run a an independent then.

So what happens if it’s now?

He will never be allowed to be president again. He already won the popular vote but the democratic steal machine still won.

The soft, comfortable republican population (of which I am one) didn’t do anything, and still won’t do anything. The white house now controls elections.

We aren’t winning.

If DeSantis runs, I’m voting for him. If Trump runs on an independent ticket with no DeSantis, I’m voting Trump. Because at this point, we’ve got another 6 years of Biden.

I’m ok with that, honestly. This whole thing needs to be burned to the ground. No better way than to let them do it.

The last time the Bull Moose Option was tried, we got Woodrow Wilson as President. Yep, this was the man who strongly supported the federal income tax , big government, and got us into World War 1.

The Bull Moose option plus Democrat cheating will ensure another term for a Democrat ( even if he is incapacitated ).

He who does not learn from history is condemned to repeat it.

So which one of the 16 Rino deep staters that Trump defeated are you now snuggling up to?
I’m sure any one of them would have given you the uniparty shivers up your leg that you’re looking for.

So is DeSantis... if Trump can't figure out how to stop stepping on his own d*ck.

Trump isn't the only one who can't figure out how to stop stepping on his own d*ck, the entire Republican Party has been doing it since the Reagan Presidency ended.

I cannot recall any moment in my adult lifetime that the leadership of the Republican Party has been any worse. McConnell, McCarthy, McDaniels are the freaking worst! Flush 'em all and start over!

A lot more primaries than in 1912. Also, different convention rules. They threw everything they had to stop him (at first I was a Cruz backer due to Trump’s lack of record, doubts about his new pro-life stance, and donations to lefties like Ted Kennedy. Performance Trumps all.)

Their best chance is if they get DeSantis to run and make it one on one, like Ford/Reagan in ‘76 (even then PA and NY were set up to ensure that Reagan would get none of those delegates, that is different now, and they have normal primaries too). There is so much hubris out there that a half-dozen Liz Cheney-types will run to make noise, get attention, consideration as VP pick, or just practice for ‘28 or ‘32.

Trump is mostly pro-Ethanol requirements, so he can’t be attacked in Iowa over that. An Establishment candidate might get some traction in New Hampshire, but not enough. Trump CRUSHES in South Carolina.

If Trump wants the nomination, he gets it. If he goes Bull Moose, he will need some buts and bolts guys to build a national party around it with candidates at all levels where necessary (leave Republican MAGAs alone). Personally, I don’t think that will work. The patience (that will have to outlast Trump) to keep getting more MAGA candidates until you have a plurality has to be stuck to. The Establishment will act entitled until they are gone. Their numbers are shrinking. Nearly all the Reps who voted for Impeachment are gone. Kinzinger and Cheney now have to yap from the sidelines and on MSNBC.

This strategy needs discipline, but I think it is a better play than abandoning the Republican Party to the Establishment.

What should we do when a majority of Republicans want Trump, but the Republican Party says we can’t have him?" Conservative FIRST, republican second. Being an R, at the grass roots level, means having some small say GOP direction. We need to apply pressure to point the party in the Trump direction. To the point that, even if we fail, make it even more obvious that at the top, the party is run by deep state cabal Unipartiests.
