Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) on Wednesday revealed he has been diagnosed with “a serious but curable form of cancer.”
Raskin said in a statement he was diagnosed with a common type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma that affects white blood cells in the body’s immune system.
The 60-year-old lawmaker said he was beginning chemo-immunotherapy at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C.
“I expect to be able to work through this period but have been cautioned by my doctors to reduce unnecessary exposure to avoid COVID-19, the flu and other viruses,” he said.
Raskin said he was specifically diagnosed with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, which usually develops in the lymph nodes deep inside the body. While fast-growing and aggressive, the cancer is treatable.

His 25 year old son committed suicide on December 31, 2020, after suffering from depression. Who knows what demons a kid that young was dealing with. My own son had a bout with colon cancer back in 2019. There are no guarantees in life. The Lord’s Will be done. Raskin is an asshole. It’s too bad he has lymphoma, but he’s not the first, nor will he be the last person to suffer from cancer. He has been an unending critic of President Trump. He’s as obnoxious as Adam Schiff. I hope that when his time comes, he has to face the decisions he made to get, and keep his political career, especially what his priorities were when it came to his family.
A thank you from him would be nice, seeing as we're paying for it.

I won’t say anything about karma, but instead wish the congressman the best in recovering. Knowing damn well he would celebrate if it was his opponent, it’s hard leaving it at this.
What’s going to be really interesting, for me, at least…..let’s find out what kind of cancer he has. Then compare his treatment and potential recovery to “the serfs” that have had the same and died a sh*tty death.
My point, Ginsburg had all sorts of things wrong with her and she more or less, died in the courtroom.
Carter is in his 90s, has brain cancer and seems to be as fit as a fiddle.
