I’ve only had Louis XIII once. A half a bottle over the course of a night. It was the most cognac I ever had and the best I ever had. It paired well with Cuban cigars. Good times in Taiwan.

I’ll stick with my Wild Turkey 101 ($22/btl) hid in my binocular flask.

Leave it to Disney to debase Louis the XIII with a waffle cone,

Sorry, it’s old no. 7 for me but then again I’m a redneck.

I was pretty shocked at a kids burger and fries at $20...in 1998.

hid in my binocular flask. The old , “No officer, I’m not a peeping Tom. I’m just trying to get my drink on” defense.

Because when I think of great places to drink my first thought is Disneyland and not Vegas.

Dang! Glad I didn’t smoke a lotta dope when I was younger. I bet 27 tacos and a small coke would cost a fortune now. I loved the question “would anyone else like something to drink?” What ain’t nobody in here but me. 😁

A buddy gave me a bottle of Blanton’s bourbon for Christmas. Sipping on it as I write this...outstanding!

I told my husband to stop the car and ask a couple for directions. Turned out to be a British High Commissioner and his wife. When we were invited for cocktails and I only drink single malt, I was offered some scotch so old and valuable he wouldn’t tell me what it was, or exactly how old. Maybe more men will start listen to their wives.

Unfortunately, Vegas has gone ghetto since I left in 2016. Hood rats are everywhere.

You should visit the Buffalo Trace distillery in Frankfort, KY for a FREE tour (the other distilleries charge a fee). Product samples are provided at the end of the tour. You can also check what's available for purchase in the gift shop that day on their website. Bring a friend, especially one who doesn't drink, so you can buy more than one bottle. My bottle of Blanton's I got around Labor Day is probably going to be cracked open NYE.

That’s a bargain...Louis XIII was 120 a shot 40 years ago when I worked in Atlantic City...the empty bottle alone is crystal and worth about 300 bucks

I’ve only been going to Vegas for about 10+ years and I recall a time I could see the fountains of Bellagio without a circus sideshow accosting me and trying to sell me their CDs or to take a photo with them.

I did Wild Turkey 101 for decades but had to throttle back to Bushmills 80 due to advancing age. Still get same result.😀

What are its characteristics?
What is a good cognac in my price range (< $20 bottle)?
To: thegagline
If people that can afford it, and want to buy it, who cares. Every Christmas I buy my close friend a 150 dollar bottle of scotch. He gives me a 150 dollar bottle of Champagne. By the end of the day both bottles are empty.....
My only problem is the profit goes to the grooming of children by pedos.

The thing with these expensive drinks is the people who buy this are just showing off and have zero idea how to taste these rare booze. Me... I am a drunk. I can tell the difference between a 40 dollar bottle of cognac vs a 100 dollar bottle. When I have tasted scotch I can tell the difference between Grouse and a $150 bottle of single malt. But I challenge ANYONE to taste the difference of a $150 bottle of single malt and a $1500 dollar bottle without telling them the price.
