I’ve got a feeling it won’t be long before repo’d EVs will be a dime a dozen.
I hope you’re correct. If I could buy one at a cheap price, it would be fine for our around-town errands. I just bought a new Chevy Traverse for grandpa duty and vacations.
Seeing loads of low mileage 2020 and 2021 vehicles here. It’s obvious people used the unemployment of steroids and then deferred payment programs to get a nice ride they couldn’t pay for and they knew it.
A repo man’s life is intense.
I believe it.
Does it pay good money and have life and disability insurance?
They better make sure to get the correct vehicles. Someone tries that with my vehicle and they’re dead. Carjacking. Not gonna survive it.
In Indiana, it can only be carjacking if you’re in the vehicle. Otherwise, it’s just car theft.
Not sure about other states.

At least in Canada, it’s not uncommon for a tow truck driver to average $300/night and $500/night during terrible conditions. I’ve talked with them and that’s what they are willing to tell me.
They arent protected for taking the wrong vehicle. Its grand theft auto. Come on dude. They also aren’t the brightest bulbs in the pack, so theres a chance they won’t listen to someone telling them that.
My pet hamster could have predicted this. When the new smell fades and the paint is no longer shiny. Those higher interest rates will put most car loans under water and hard to justify the payments. Especially if the buyer was under water on their trade in.

And killing them would get you charged with murder.
No, you can stop felony level crimes. They would most likely threaten me or attack me, as I don’t have to just allow them to steal my vehicle, which then turns it into self defense.
Don’t be a smartass on purpose here.
Read recently that the average car loan payment was $700/mo. The average.
“No, you can stop felony level crimes.”
Not with lethal force.
