Voters draw the line for 'climate change' cost at $10!

A majority of voters are unwilling to pay more than $10 out of their own pockets monthly to mitigate climate change, according to a poll released Friday.

Over 40% of respondents said that they would not pay a single dollar of their own money each month to reduce the impact of climate change while only 17% said they would be willing to spend $10 or less, according to a CRC Advisors poll conducted for the Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI), a libertarian think tank. About 25% of young voters (ages 18-24) aren’t willing to pay anything to combat climate change and 30% would only be willing to spend an additional $1 to $20 monthly, while 48% of voters ages 25-34 would not spend more than an additional $10 per month.

“Most Americans remain unwilling to pay for the enormous costs of climate change policies,” Myron Ebell, director of the CEI’s Center for Energy and Environment, told the Daily Caller News Foundation in a statement. “The Biden administration’s anti-energy regulatory policies are already costing Americans more than $10 a month in higher gasoline and electricity prices … and these costs are just the beginning.”

Only 5% of poll respondents indicated that they would spend between $101 and $1,000 per month to reduce the effects of climate change, and 17% said they would pay $76 to $100 monthly.

Based on the premise that we can make much of a dent if a hightly questionable NON ISSUE! About $11.00 more than I care to contribute. Guess the economy is roaring along like branDUHn said for at least 5% if some folks are willing to spend $101-$1,000/month. Fidiots! Anyone seen the Yosemite glacier? I know it was around here somewhere.......🤡🐂💩

I want an eff’n refund. How many of our tax dollars have been wasted on this 💩? How much more expensive is everything we buy because woke green spending by businesses? We are being ripped off by what amounts to be no more than virtue signaling over an eff’n lie.

The Gaia Church doesn’t need the money and I don’t like contributing to idols. They are probably grooming trans kids for sacrifices to their ‘god’.

Just in time for the reminder of an ice age next week. Only a person of low IQ, most politicians, thieves, liars and scam profiteers believe that planet Earth is static and the flora and fauna control the solar system. For terms like astronomy, galaxies, the Universe and so forth are an imaginary concept to them as THEY are the center of life as we know it.

Where is the proof that throwing money at a natural process can reduce 9r increase the effect? HEY HAVE NO IDEA whT the “correct temperature” should be! THey have no proof that man can decrease the natural cyclical warming trends!, all, they have are alarmist opinions. No money for opinions!

The trouble with allowing the far-left politicians rob your wallet of money for “climate change” is that none of the money goes to the climate, the change, the varmints or the planet. It all goes to towards keeping the envirowackos housed and fed. It’s hard for those jackasses to get jobs so they created one. Who the hell is going to hire a crybaby moron “activist” who cries when it’s hot, cries when it’s cold. Cries when it rains, crie when it doesn’t rain.

Yeah, we got a little ‘pogonip’ going on at our place currently. Freezing fog basically. Not real dense but can be troublesome. Around 17 degrees f.

Once again for general dissemination and obviously no included in the poll:

1. Define the “correct” temperature range for the planet.

2. Define the “correct” humidity range for the planet.

3. Define the “correct” mean sea level for the planet.

4. Define the “correct” amount of precipitation for the planet.

5. Define the “correct” makeup of the atmosphere.

6. Define the “correct” amount of sea ice at the N/S poles.

7. Define/explain past glaciation and subsequent warming without any input from humans.

We’ll wait.

The funny part is they are already paying 100's more a month for "clmate change" stuff. As just one example, Biden's EPA raised small refinery costs early this year: https://www.epa.gov/renewable-fuel-standard-program/epa-signals-new-position-small-refinery-exemptions. By foisting the joke renewable certificate purchases onto small refineries, the big refineries were able to raise prices on diesel and keep them high.

Prices in stores are higher due to the green BS added to transportation costs.

These future sea levels are what's in store for us if we don't get a handle on man-made climate change.

Just kidding! This was the Earth 100 million years ago.

Those dinosaurs and their carbon footprint!

But nearly half vote for Dems.

No worries, the GOPe is careful not to point out any real reasons not to vote for the Dems — and to help get the Dem agenda passed anyway.

I’m willing to pay as much to prevent “climate change” as I am to feed starving unicorns. That would be a big, fat ZERO, and for the same reason.

They lied to me about their phony “climate change” when I was in college in the early 1970s:

https://cei.org/blog/wrong-again-50-years-of-failed-eco-pocalyptic-predictions/

They are still lying now.

I demand full reparations from these liars—one million dollars for each lie.

They owe me one trillion dollars!

Reminds me of a class back in college.

First day, and it was a first-year class so about half the students were fresh out of high school. The teacher started out asking if people thought protecting the environment was important, and of course everyone said yes.

Then she had people yell “true” or “false” to say whether they agreed with the statements she made, which were meant to establish how important they thought it was, and how big a factor they thought recycling was in protecting the environment. Being mostly young public-school graduates, the majority claimed to think it was a high priority, and that the fate of the planet itself depended on recycling.

Then she picked up the little garbage can that was next to the door, and pulled out all the recyclable items. There were a lot of them.

“I made sure to empty this right before class. There is a recycling bin 9 steps from that door. Clearly, you don’t think saving the planet is worth walking 9 extra steps.”

Dead silence.

Most of the students were still 18, and judging by their expressions, had never been confronted by their own behavior before. They could shout at other people and call it “activism”, but it had never once been pointed out to them that they didn’t live what they preached.

The lesson was supposed to be about why surveys were an unreliable way to measure behavior. But I think it had the side effect of making those students think twice about whether or not they cared enough to live the values they claimed to.

$10. 9 steps. Whatever measure you use, the majority only care in abstract. Even while they shout and scream about it.
