Democrats are racing to release information about former President Donald Trump's taxes before Republicans take control of Congress early next year.

Politico reported Friday that the House Ways and Means Committee will meet privately Tuesday at 3 p.m. to review the tax documents and vote on whether all or a portion of Trump's tax returns will be publicly released.

After a lengthy legal battle, House Ways and Means Committee Chair Richard Neal got his hands on Trump's tax returns in November....

...They consist of Trump's personal returns and returns from eight business entities, Politico said.

Democrats believe they're on solid legal footing to release the returns if the committee takes a vote....

"I’m going to guess, the committee found zero malfeasance in the tax returns - a nothing burger. So Plan B is to release them to ‘the public’ to gin-up fabricated outrage over the amounts paid. I imagine the usual left wing ‘reporters’ will be drafting their articles over the weekend to go to print on cue."

In that event, there's the justification to immediately and publicly release the tax returns of the clintons, obamas and bidens for reasons of comparison to assure the public the questionable tax accounting practices were unique to Trump.

Looking about we find there are little people;
then we find some are even more minute unable to be seen or
heard. These tiny little men are sequestered in what WTP
once called “Our esteemed Halls of Congress”.

What? They say. Nothing here; not even a smidgen of wrong
doing. Well, it makes no difference, we'll lie our little heads off and make something from nothing. You ‘men’ wear your creative writing hats and grab your pens. A committee chair awaits the best of lies.

SMH at the level of OUR ‘government’. There is no painter's
ladder large enough to offer them the boost they need.

What the h#ll do they think the tax returns will contain?

That Trump paid for the assassination of Kennedy? That like Slick Willy Clinton he took tax deductions by giving his used and worn out underwear to charity? That he claimed as a business expense Non-disclosure payoffs? That he gave little to charity?

People really don't care about what is in a persons tax returns.

They are very confident that they never will be because “Republicans” will never do it.

Exactly. I’m a small potato worth less than a million but I pay a tax accountant. I pay her well. I provide her all our info for ourselves and our business, she tells me what can and cannot be deducted. The irs tax code is how many docs and pages? No American even an accountant can get it right 100 percent of the time. This year the irs sent me a letter that she forgot a 500 dollar credit and adjusted my return accordingly. I was shocked.
That said the burden of an individual to know the code and sign off on the accuracy is ludicrous.

Those are private tax returns. Even if the government has a right to investigate them, they don’t own them and they have no right to publicize them. The good thing is this reveals that their claims to need to investigate were a thin pretext to leak them.

The first step in the downfall of any government to a communist State is the corruption of the dept of Justice.

No President in history has been hounded by Fake Investigations like Donald
J. Trump has been hounded. They fear him like no other. The GOP has been given power. It’s way past time to get vicious with the Deep State and Democrats.

They have had access to Trump’s taxes all along. Do you really think the IRS is somehow holier than the FBI?
These Stasi government agencies are nothing but an arm of the Uniparty enforcement brigade.
The subpoena was just to make it look legit, before they release the info. This should backfire on them bigly.

Exactly. The Dems got Trump’s taxes under false premises. The attack on Trump is unrelenting. The Republicans majority has to retaliate or surrender and get it over with.

8 business entities... of the 512 corporations he runs.

pathetic.

of course, they set the precedent... which means, push for all tax returns for all democrats and make them public.

I tried to find something in a legal argument to that effect. They plainly DID tell the press they wouldn’t make it public:

“It’s very sensitive information,” he said at the time. “We intend to deal with it professionally.” (Rep. Neal to Roll Call)
