Friday evening in response to the newest release of “The Twitter Files” which showed that federal law enforcement officials were regularly flagging content for Twitter to take action against.

Journalist Matt Taibbi said that between January 2020 and November 2022, then-Twitter Senior Director of Trust & Safety Yoel Roth had exchanged more than 150 emails with the FBI.

Taibbi showed numerous emails between federal law enforcement agencies and Twitter officials where agents repeatedly flagged election-related tweets from small accounts for the company to censor.

“The FBI regularly engages with private sector entities to provide information specific to identified foreign malign influence actors’ subversive, undeclared, covert, or criminal activities,” the FBI said in a statement. “Private sector entities independently make decisions about what, if any, action they take on their platforms and for their customers after the FBI has notified them.”

Taibbi’s report revealed that the FBI’s social media-focused task force, known as FTIF, has 80 agents that focus on threats involving “foreign influence and election tampering of all kinds.”

The FBI official statement is an admission of First Amendment violations. Speech from foreign entities is covered under 1A.

“The most terrifying force of death comes from the hands of “Men who wanted to be left Alone.”

They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love.

They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it.

They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over.

The moment the “Men who wanted to be left Alone” are forced to fight back, it is a small form of suicide. They are literally killing off who they used to be.

This is why, when forced to take up violence, these “Men who wanted to be left Alone,” fight with unholy vengeance against those who murdered their former lives. They fight with raw hate and a drive that cannot be fathomed by those who are merely play-acting at politics and terror. TRUE TERROR will arrive at the Left’s door, and they will cry, scream, and beg for mercy... but it will fall upon deaf ears.“

IF they were only blocking “malign foreign actors”, that might be OK

but the evidence suggests they used it against ordinary American citizens, and to censor any comments they didn’t like

that’s not the FBI’s job

The FIB engages in “to providing information specific to promote US Gov’t’s malign influence of domestic gov’t actors’ subversive, undeclared, covert, and criminal activities”.

“malign influence actors”

Uh no. Not just foreigners but Americans were silenced. Dan Bongino is just one example.

FIB, you got caught. You’re full of BS and you know it.

This is the First Amendment you’re attacking here, you know it, we know it and so does everyone else.

A real American wouldn’t do this.

Taibbi’s report revealed that the FBI’s social media-focused task force, known as FTIF, has 80 agents that focus on threats involving “foreign influence and election tampering of all kinds.”

80 agents dedicated to screening social media and directing private companies to censor people. Private companies controlling content on their platforms is not a 1A problem, as long as they are not doing the bidding of a government or political entity. When it's the FBI telling a private company who and what to censor, it is absolutely a 1A issue, and there should be an investigation into the matter.

Beautiful words and concepts.

The idea that the people who are doing this to America believe their own propaganda has been proffered here. It’s amazing to me, but ok.

If that’s their mindset, and the passage you quote is accurate.... they got no idea what’s coming.

Not OK. Unconstitutional. And exactly who defines what are "malign foreign actors."

By Rudyard Kipling

It was not part of their blood,
It came to them very late,
With long arrears to make good,
When the Saxon began to hate.

They were not easily moved,
They were icy — willing to wait
Till every count should be proved,
Ere the Saxon began to hate.

Their voices were even and low.
Their eyes were level and straight.
There was neither sign nor show
When the Saxon began to hate.

It was not preached to the crowd.
It was not taught by the state.
No man spoke it aloud
When the Saxon began to hate.

It was not suddently bred.
It will not swiftly abate.
Through the chilled years ahead,
When Time shall count from the date
That the Saxon began to hate.
