EU Threatens to Sanction Musk’s Twitter over Temporary Suspension of Establishment Media Journalists

The European Union has threatened to levy sanctions against Twitter following the suspension of several establishment media journalists over allegedly sharing private location of Elon Musk’s jet.

On Thursday evening, Twitter suspended journalists from CNN, Mashable, New York Times, Washington Post, Vox, and former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann for alleged violations of the platform’s updated terms of service on doxxing, or the exposing of private details such as location or address on the internet.

“Any account doxxing real-time location info of anyone will be suspended, as it is a physical safety violation,” Musk tweeted Wednesday. “This includes posting links to sites with real-time location info. Posting locations someone traveled to on a slightly delayed basis isn’t a safety problem, so is ok.”

The suspensions reportedly surrounded the linking to a tracker of Musk’s private jet. While many have claimed that this was publicly available information, the new Twitter boss said that “my plane is actually not trackable without using non-public data”.

Musk should just tell them to screw. The EU has no power or say over an american (well, it seems to be now) company.

Musk is selling Tesla, so they can’t hurt him there.

It turns out they don’t like them apples. This is just as ballzie as, oh, say, banning the President of the United States!

“EU Threatens to Sanction Musk’s Twitter over Temporary Suspension of Establishment Media Journalists”

I think they meant to say “establishment propagandists”

They didn’t have a problem with Twitter banning the NY Post for printing the truth about the laptop.

End of day, it is a privately owned website and if he ops to ban or unban people, that is his choice.
Wasn't that always the case? Even before Musk bought the POS?

The common denominator here is Twitter, nothing else is the root of the problem.

Twitter gets a stake driven through it, burns to the ground, end of argument(s)

Twitter is a scourge that ruins the country and people's lives for the sole purpose of entertaining losers and drama queens.

Twitter's rules are (theoretically), doxxing private information gets a account suspended.

These journalists all know Twitter's rules. If someone twitter doxxed them and nothing happened, they would all out Musk for it.

Once again proving that for the left, some animals are more equal than others.

Problem before (and hopefully not now), Twitter colluded with and acted on behalf of the US government. Thus, it was an extension of the government, not a private company.

I clicked on the link to Breitbart. This is clickbait. No one of any importance made a comment on twitter. That’s it.

Indeed we would. And then go on our merry way after the doxxer is suspended. And hope for the best outcome regarding Soros, not cry about the banning.

The point is, they broke the rules Elon made, so they got banned. Just as we would expect the Soros doxxer to be banned. Threatening people en masse via Twitter by exposing their movements and location by using a Clintonian parsing if the 1st is quite different than one person obtaining public information for themselves. There's your difference. The whataboutism you laid out is weak sauce for the debate's main course

I respectfully disagree that there would *not* be outcry if someone doxing Soros, or any other such person were banned.

Regards.

I agree to a point; there wouldn’t be the focused, media supported Musk is a Nazi crying, but more like the good for the gander type.
