LBJ was the one person that stood to gain - that he was continually reaching for more and more power lends to it. There was also something about his swearing in while in flight that was odd or stood out - I don’t remember what. He didn’t like JFK and may have actually hated him.

The CIA in those days was trying to or actually assassinating people around the world. So they did have those sorts of assets available.
GHW Bush was photographed in front of the school book depository the day he oversaw the killing.
Again, no autopsy was conducted as required by Texas law.
Josefa had embarrassed LBJ repeatedly for her wildly promiscuous behavior over the years and the man that Wallace was convicted of murdering was said to be one of her many liaisons.
JFK conspiracy theorists are like Liberals. They can’t be dissuaded by evidence and logic. It’s a waste of time to try.
But he also knows that going further would identify him, and that using weasel-words would be seen exactly as you say.
If he was identified by the surety of his knowledge he would just disappear, never to be seen again or have a 1” column that so and so had a tragic accident.
It is not possible to accurately parse his words given his position - any one else you’d be right.
But the larger issue is: does one trust TC to be honest here, and not making the whole up to drive ratings?
It is an entertainment show after all.
Then there is the aspect that TC’s “friend” Mike Pompao also refused to release the pages when he was CIA director. More damning is MP’s refusal to discuss the issue on air with TC.
More questions than answers.
Maybe it is all fake and the whole show is being run by space aliens - prove me wrong.
Maybe like the CIA operatives that trained the Cuban exiles and hired the Alabama Air Guard pilots who flew the B-26s that Kennedy sacrificed at the Bay of Pigs. They likely duped the communist sympathizer Lee Harvey Oswald to assassinate JFK.
BTW, I was in my 9th grade English class when it was announced that the President had been shot.

I do note that 75 posts later, my question was not addressed. I will offer a second basic question:
If Oswald was part of a CIA plot to kill JFK, why did he take a bus ride from Texas to Mexico City? Would they not have paid for his plane ticket?

Here’s an odd factoid mentioned in TC’s monologue: While in jail, Rub was visited by a psychiatrist, who on leaving the jail declared Ruby insane.
Back in those days psychiatrists were something of a rare bird, not a dime a dozen like today. Previously, Ruby had appeared normal and sane to all other interviewers. So what changed or did it.
It turned out that the psychiatrist was no ordinary psychiatrist as revealed in an NYT obit. He specialized in ‘mind’ control, drugs, hypnosis and other methods of altering a personality. Why him? What interest would such a specialist have in Ruby? How would he even get permission to interviews him?
Answer: he worked for the CIA.
More questions. Than answers.

The CIA involvement would be very very embarrassing to the country. It’s all about CIA credibility and they would lose any remnants left if their screwed up involvement in this was revealed.
My point is, the information that has been released really leaves any thinking person with a binary choice regarding JFK:
1. Accept that there was a conspiracy and more than one person involved.
2. Explain away all the coincidences as mere coincidence.
The more one digs into the events surrounding the killing and the people involved, the harder it is to explain things as coincidence and people who continue to cling to explaining things through an increasingly unlikely series of happenstance are, IMHO the real kooks (aka "coincidence theorists.")
Oswald was the only shooter (putting aside an unintentional discharge by an SS agent). But SOMETHING was going on out there that day that we still don’t know about.
The only conspiracy existed solely and entirely in the mind of one troubled and angry loner, Lee Harvey Oswald.
