Twitter appeared to suspend the accounts of at least half a dozen journalists late Thursday — including some who had been critical of Elon Musk and his $44 billion dollar takeover of the social media platform.
A number of accounts suspended belonged to journalists who had recently covered the dispute between Musk, 51, and a Twitter account operated by a Florida college freshman that monitors the tech mogul’s private jet flights.
It wasn’t immediately clear why the accounts were taken down. Twitter didn’t immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
New York Times reporter Ryan Mac, CNN’s Donie O’Sullivan and Drew Harwell of The Washington Post were among those who appeared to have been blocked.
Matt Binder from Mashable, The Intercept’s Micah Lee and independent journalists Aaron Rupar, Keith Olbermann and Tony Webster also appeared to have their accounts blocked.
The apparent bans come a day after Musk vowed to suspend any account that posted real-time information on a person’s whereabouts amid his feud with 19-year-old Jack Sweeney.
The Florida teen, who runs the ElonJet Twitter handle that tracks Musk’s flights using publicly available data, had his account suspended Tuesday.
“Any account doxxing real-time location info of anyone will be suspended, as it is a physical safety violation,” Musk tweeted.

Nobody said a word when they were shadowbanning conservatives, so they can suck a lemon.

1. It’s a private company. They can do whatever they want.

Now its there turn and they cry rivers of tears. The couldn’t care less when it happened to anyone they didn’t like.
They reported Elon’s private jet location. Elon warned them not too......
The journalists weren’t doing the doxxing, they were reporting on it, and were likely critical of Musk.
His child was tracked down and follwed by a person dressed in black wearing a ski mask just a day or so ago. I don’t know what the journalists did right before they were banned, but you can probably expect that they were not banned for expressing excess sympathy for the danger that the stalker posed to Musk’s family.
I know you have to put the title as is, but it’s garbage.
They know exactly why they are banned. Even Elon posted why.
