The House on Wednesday passed a short-term funding bill to avert a government shutdown, kicking Friday’s funding deadline to next week to allow lawmakers more time to strike a deal on spending for the remainder of fiscal year 2023.
The continuing resolution passed in a 224-201 vote. It now heads to the Senate, where it must pass and be sent to President Biden’s desk before midnight on Friday to avoid a shutdown.

Nothing unusual about this. Mitch is not the whole senate.
Giving themselves a raise again did they?
Why not a bill that funds government until sometime in January when real funding bills (that’s plural) can be written? No more of this omnibus bull crap. Quite honestly, I don’t want most government funded. The deficit last month was $249 billion. Yeah, you read that right. Month, not quarter, not year. Nearly a quarter trillion dollars spent in one month. Is your life any eff’n better? Are you more free?
You are absolutely correct. Biden / Democrats / RINOs are destroying the power of the US - THE MIDDLE CLASS. “You will not own anything and you will be happy”
A prolonged government shutdown would give the DOJ a long needed break from investigating parents, “Lower Quality Candidates”, and from spying on the GOP. Essential however would be all the government run media and news outlets, which is pretty much all of them.

Anyone thinking they’re going to slow the Orgy Spending Train is out of their mind.
Lights off and no one’s home.
.
Nine Republicans voted with Democrats in supporting the measure after GOP leadership urged rank-and-file members to oppose the legislation shortly after its release the day prior: Reps. Adam Kinzinger (Ill.), Liz Cheney (Wyo.), Chris Jacobs (N.Y.), Anthony Gonzalez (Ohio), John Katko (N.Y.), Jaime Herrera Beutler (Wash.), Fred Upton (Mich.), Steve Womack (Ark.) and Brian Fitzpatrick (Pa.).
Is this what the 188k irs agents are for?
They could threaten to stop everything until the border is closed, but, apparently, they've already cashed the globalists checks.
Correct. Each party has spent us into the grave. There is no going back.
They’ve been doing this crap for 15 years now. Ignoring the law is a commonplace with Congress.
dems do not want that. They are counting on passing the Omnibus Bill that will be in effect until next Sept.
[The deficit last month was $249 billion.]
Excellent. 3 Trillion dollars per year?
Hope we can export a few billion dollars more while not helping the American taxpayer one bit.
Because of these CRs, no budget and omnibus garbage rammed for years and years, America will collapse. Just as planned.
Damn.
