If you passed on getting the COVID vaccine, you might be a lot more likely to get into a car crash.
Or at least those are the findings of a new study published this month in The American Journal of Medicine. During the summer of 2021, Canadian researchers examined the encrypted government-held records of more than 11 million adults, 16% of whom hadn’t received the COVID vaccine.
They found that the unvaccinated people were 72% more likely to be involved in a severe traffic crash—in which at least one person was transported to the hospital—than those who were vaccinated. That’s similar to the increased risk of car crashes for people with sleep apnea, though only about half that of people who abuse alcohol, researchers found.
The excess risk of car crash posed by unvaccinated drivers “exceeds the safety gains from modern automobile engineering advances and also imposes risks on other road users,” the authors wrote.
Of course, skipping a COVID vaccine does not mean that someone will get into a car crash. Instead, the authors theorize that people who resist public health recommendations might also “neglect basic road safety guidelines.”

Because they are still alive?…
These people know what they are doing. All they have to do is compare 2020 data to 2022 data to get the desired result to make us feel guilty for not obeying.
GOVERNMENT IS WAY TOO BIG and was never supposed to control our daily lives.
“encrypted government-held records of more than 11 million adults”
Is there not a single print publication with any integrity?
I imagine, also, that those who declined the shot tend to be younger, and young people tend to drive more recklessly. There is no indication that the study accounted for confounding variables like that. But they do seem to have gotten the conclusion that they were seeking.
I guess I need to buy a motorcycle helmet and put it on while driving my car.
Also at higher risk of dying of old age.
I guess we can start adding well at least they weren’t in a severe car accident.
If you don’t drive they’ll run you over
Looks like the study confused correlation with causation. Did they look at number of hours behind the wheel, for example? Maybe the unvaccinated stepped on more sidewalk cracks too. Maybe they are just out and about more, being less fearful of the virus hype. Maybe they are more likely to have jobs involving driving. Less likely to be able to work from home. The possibilities are endless. Such a silly study!
Pure bloods are also more likely to be abducted by aliens.
women & minorities hardest hit
This line of thought must have come from Fauci. He is solely responsible for the entire pandemic and should be prosecuted.
I think you’ll find that those who didn’t get the vax were more likely to be out and about. It probably correlates with being out and about.
You could also theorize that people who fell for the lies of public health officials might also "be suseptable to falling for the next set of lies put forward by offcials; public health or otherwise."
And let me guess. LBGTQWTF of color hardest hit.
or
people that did not get the shots are/were less likely to be staying home and are out & about.
Whenever I see an article about a “study” I prepare to be amused or annoyed. This one is both. Amused at the stupidity of the people who did the “study” and the writer of the article. Annoyed that this is just one more way they are trying to force people to get the jab.
Amazing how these people totally ignore and suppress other correlations that don’t support their worldview.
Because those who haven’t gotten the Jim Jones Jab are able to drive? They’re not having cell formations in their veins, myocarditis, pericarditis, strokes, and seizures?
