China on Tuesday (December 13, 2022) urged India to "strictly control" and "restrain" its front-line troops, days after the troops of the two countries clashed in the Tawang sector of Arunachal Pradesh, resulting in minor injuries to some soldiers on both sides. China also said that the soldiers of the Indian Army "illegally crossed the line to block" a routine patrol of Chinese border troops.

Arunachal clash: Over 200 Chinese PLA troops came armed with spiked clubs, sticks

Chinese PLA reportedly carried spiked clubs and sticks in a clash with the Indian Army along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh last week.

By India Today Web Desk: In a recent clash between Indian and Chinese troops along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tawang Sector on December 9, around 200 Chinese soldiers involved in the attack reportedly carried spiked clubs and sticks.

Both sides sustained injuries in the face-off, though none were killed, according to available information. However, the number of injured soldiers on the Chinese side could go up, sources were quoted as saying by news agency PTI.

More than 300 Chinese soldiers had attempted to get access to the top of 17,000-ft peak and were thwarted by Indian Army jawans, sources said. The area is now under snow. The Chinese troops wanted to uproot an Indian post, but the attempt was successfully averted by the Indian side.

Both sides immediately disengaged from the area.

Meanwhile, the Congress party has hit out at the Centre after the news of the clash came to the fore. The party urged the government to ‘explain’ to Beijing in a ‘stern tone’.

If giving up one post would save just one Chinaman, wouldn’t it be worth it?

“ China also said that the soldiers of the Indian Army “illegally crossed the line ”

An old communist technique. Move into your neighbor’s territory and accuse your neighbor of illegally being in your territory. The Russians tried a version of this in eastern Ukraine.

What’s bad is both China and India have a huge shortage of women —> many expendable military men.

Yeah, those evil Indians forced the chicoms to run up the hill to the post the Indians were guarding.

You'd think for a surveillance state like ch-eye-nuh they'd realize that the prevalence of cellphones would mean there's also videos.......
